Southern Concepts
COTW voting wrapped up last night. Here are the final results...
We have a tie again! That means a playoff of course. Committee members can send in their playoff vote now. The playoff will last 24 hours, which means it will end @ 4:30pm EST tomorrow (Saturday).
HJC Open semi-finals voting ends tonight at 11:59pm EST. It's a VERY close race in both match-ups, so if you haven't voted yet be sure to do so tonight.
Most of today's concepts have to do with the south. Well, at least some of them do.

I am totally on board with almost every aspect of this concept. There are two things that irk me. The first is the number on an angle and the second is the white socks.
Florida Panthers concepts (by Lachlan)
The red jersey is a good safe bet. The blue alternate is pretty cool, even though I'm sour on the circle logo. The road jersey isn't bad I just feel like the Panthers could do so much better with the road sweater.
Los Angeles Kings concepts (by WhiteLightning)
The home and road jerseys are okay. For me, the star is the retro hybrid 3rd jersey. I'm a big fan of that one!
Toronto Maple Leafs concepts (by Brian D.)
These combine elements of the popular stripe across the chest and the 1980's Leafs jerseys. I'd actually like these way more if they were true white, not vintage. I still like them enough to give this a COTW nom though!
Washington Capitals concepts (by Arthur)
Again, not really a southern team, but they do play in the Southeast Division. I like the home red, so obviously I would prefer the white jersey to follow the same design. I'd at least like to see that yoke go away.
Buffalo Sabres concepts (by Spirit104)
Really cool unique design by Spirit on the home and roads! The faded blue throwback is just a little too simple for me and I don't understand the purpose of the 2nd alternate. It's a little too similar to the home to make a difference, in my opinion.
Hartford Whalers concepts (by Mike A.)
Wow, ever since the Preds used this shoulder design, it has been quite popular with concepts artists. To me, it doesn't really fit the Whalers look. I think the swooping stripe at the hem does though, as it reminds me of a wave.

@Felix" Because there's a rotation that I have to go through. Your TB jersey isn't due up for another 5-7 days! That's why when you sent it in I responded with "this will be posted in a week or two".
