There are TWO Concept of the Week votes going on right now. The December 10-16 vote is on as well as the December 17-23 vote. Click the banners or go to the COTW 2012 tab to see the entries for each week. It's 2013 and that means no more Voting Committee. Any HJC reader can email their votes into me. Be sure that you are clear with who and what you are voting for.

COTW Dec 10-16 vote (ends Friday @ 11:59pm EST)
COTW Dec 17-23 vote (ends Friday @ 11:59pm EST)

----------------------------------------------------

Edmonton Oilers concepts (by Stephen T.)
I use the word concepts too liberally here. Personally I don't think removing some cuffs and changing colours of the numbers constitutes a concept. Execution wise everything is fine. Creatively there really is nothing here. 4/10

St. Louis Blues concepts (by Adam H.)
The wavy hem stripes are a unique idea and credit must be given for at least attempting something different. Having said that, I don't think they are working too well. Perhaps I could accept them as a one time use for a minor league team, but not full time for any NHL squad. The throwback is nicely done, but I would raise the hem stripes. 5/10

New Jersey Devils concepts (by WinnipegJets96)
Jets96 has rounded out the Devils' shoulder yokes and added some trim. I prefer the current sweaters to these. This seems like a change for the sake of change. Execution would be good, but the loose pixels around the logo on the home jersey drive me nuts. 6/10

Minnesota Wild concept (by Dylan N.)
What I like are the stripes and the numbers on the back used with this alternate logo. I would go with a much simpler font for the NOB. After that, several execution errors hold this concept back. Such as, the un-coloured pixels at the tip of the collar. The shoulder patches being too large and the green used in them does not match the jersey. The hem stitching going through the hem stripes and the collar used on the front of the jersey is not the same as the one used on the back. 6/10

Anaheim Ducks concepts (by Tyler G.)
This is a common idea for the Ducks and Tyler has executed it nicely. A small nitpick would be that the helmet number goes on the flat part of the helmet above where the manufacturer's logo would rest. In my opinion, using black only as a trim colour on the shoulder patch would really help "complete" this concept. 7/10

Anaheim Ducks concepts (by Bastian)
Great Ducks set here! Bastian has done a excellent job "quieting" the Ducks' current sweaters. There's still the curve to the arms which is nice, but now this looks like a hockey sweater. I don't have too much of an issue with the Ducks' actual jerseys, but there would be great as a mod to them. COTW nom from me! 8/10

Quebec Voyageurs concepts (by Daniel J.)
These were for the NHL Expansion contest HJC held in November and December. I like Daniel's font choice for the numbers. I really like the stripes, but personally I am tiring of them. I can also accept though that a lot of people still dig chest stripes. I think that white numbers could have even worked on the white jersey here too. 8/10

Remember that there will not be a post tomorrow. Still be sure to get your COTW votes in...for both votes. ANYONE can vote!!!!!
