I normally break ties with the "most 2nd place votes, most 3rd places votes, etc..." However, I don't think it's fair to determine a winner here when it's this close. So, we're going to have a playoff vote between Kevin P. & Matt M. Click the Oilers banner at the top of the page to see the two concepts. Voting will run until the end of Friday. I've asked the writers to hound you about joining us for the HJC Meet-Up in Toronto on July 12. If you want to, then click on the Meet-Up banner at the top of the page. Perhaps it's not for you, or perhaps you're on the fence. Maybe this will change your mind... The big raffle prize will be a white New York Rangers Lady Liberty jersey!!!
As of today, the other prizes are a Team Canada 2014 Olympic jersey and a replica Tampa Bay Lightning Stanley Cup ring.
More prizes will be announced right up until July 12.
Those who attend the HJC Meet-Up will automatically receive two tickets into every prize draw!!! For those who can't attend the Meet-Up, you will be able to purchase raffle tickets online through PayPal in the very near future.

It's time to start a new competition. This week's comp will be a Cleveland Barons ReDesign. Click the Barons banner at the top of the page or go to the BARONS COMP tab to read all of the rules. Entries are due at the end of Friday, but most of you probably already knew that.

Derek K. has provided a Nike Swift template in vector format (AI). That download will be available on the TEMPLATES page as well.
The new COTW nominees for the week of April 21-27 have been posted on the side of the page. Click on that banner or go to the CONCEPT OF THE WEEK tab to see the concepts nominated. Votes are due by the end of Friday.
We have 25 people involved in the HJC Playoff Pool. As series end I try to update the standings. You can see the current standings right now by clicking the PLAYOFF POOL banner on the side of the page. Standings include both Montreal's and Boston's series wins.
For those 25 people, be ready to get your 2nd round picks in as soon as the 1st round is over. Not before the 1st round is over, but AFTER it is over. 2nd round picks will be due before the puck drops for the first game of the 2nd round. If you're not in the pool right now you can enter for the last 3 rounds. It would take a monumental effort to win, but it's still fun.
Sometime within the next week I want to clean up the LEAVE AN IDEA page. Meaning I want to delete some old comments and some comments that have become concepts. If you need an idea go there now before some of the comments are gone.

Wow, those are some pretty hefty prizes. Really regret not being able to go. Does anyone know how long it takes to get an advanced license? haha.
I have one of those replica rings, I was at the game against my Canucks when they gave them out!
