HJC's Friday writer Colin, will be leaving the HJC writing team after his May 9th post. Our Monday writer, Jets96, will be moving to Fridays. That will create a vacancy on Mondays and we need one of you to fill that vacancy!
Monday is the most difficult day to be a HJC writer. You get the concepts emailed to you anywhere from 64-16 hours before your post goes live. Any way it goes, it's a short turnaround time. Thus we need the most committed people to apply. I'd also like if people who have applied previously would apply again. The last time we had a spot open up there were many good applicants and it was difficult to choose just one.
Click the banner at the top of the page or go to the HJC WRITER tab to get all the info you'll need to apply.
APPLICATIONS DUE FRIDAY, MAY 9 @ 11:59PM EASTERN

As we move closer to the HJC Meet-Up on July 12, things are getting more and more serious. Everyone that has applied to attend the Meet-Up has indicated that they would be willing to spend $10 a ticket on the event. Once I find some time to get something properly set up (PayPal), tickets to the Meet-Up will be $10. Raffle tickets for the prizes will also go on sale soon, but also remember that anyone who attends the HJC Meet-Up will receive 2 tickets into each of the raffles!

Seeing as it is "May the 4th Be With You", I had to talk about Star Wars. Of course everyone has their opinions on Episodes I-III and now is a good time to share mine. Episode I really throws a wrench into a Star Wars marathon. It's tough to get through that one, but once you're through it then it's on to greener pastures. Episode II was passable, but still not great. It could have been much better, but it wasn't Episode I bad. Episode III was what I and II should have looked like. Hayden Christensen's acting never bothered me. Natalie Portman was a different story though. Either way, I've got your attention now. So, before you attempt to Force choke me through the comments section, email in your COTW and Barons Top 5 votes!

The only film I saw in theatres was Episode III, and it was awesome, and if Haden Christensen had been mostly silent until he was a sith, it would be perfect. I agree his acting really wasn't that bad, but when he is silent and his facial expression is used to portray his emotions, it's pretty damn good. Too bad episode I wasn't 15 minutes long. Podracing, final battle with Darth Maul and that awesome score.. it'd be one of the better movies.
P.S. Episode V is the best
I have such mixed feelings that my Cap jersey won COTW I did it as a joke and it goes further then most of my jerseys I put thought to ... oh well I'll take what I can get
