I think I've now officially written on everyday while with HJC...anyways...happy Sunday/new week!

In jersey news we have another FHL team unveiling their new jerseys. Port Huron Prowlers, who are an expansion franchise, are coming out with two team's templates with their logos on it...not really surprised...

Well...Red Wings copies...meh. It's uncreative but it doesn't look awful. The black alternate is pretty decent but again, it's a rip off of a jersey that's been ripped off so much that well it's not even worth bringing up any more.

Rating: 6/10- It's the FHL, and at least the jerseys are simple to counteract the logo

Hey did you vote last week....GOOD!!!! You should do it again for COTW, it's good practice for the next big vote and they say it takes 3 weeks to get a good habit but only 1 week to...aw forget that hippy crap, just vote!

Pittsburgh Penguins Concepts (By: Ryan C.)

+ This is pretty close to what the Pens wore for their awesome Stadium Series jerseys, and that's the route I'd want the Pens to go

+ Those numbers look pretty good, creative but they go with the look

+ Good colour balancing 

+ Angled stripes look fantastic the two colour pattern

+ Great execution

- I'm not sure which I prefer, the cuffs & hem or the yoke, probably the yoke but I'd prefer the jerseys matched, though I get why Ryan chose not to use them

- Shoulder patch wouldn't be a bad idea 

Rating: 9/10 COTW Nom from me.

Pittsburgh Penguins Concept (By: Jan S.)

+ I really like how the 2nd robo-pen logo looks in Vega Gold

+ The striping on the arms, while similar to the Devils St. Paddy's day jersey, looks pretty good

+ Good colour balancing 

+ Good execution 

- Captain's C is too small and doesn't match the font

- Don't forget the front numbers on the helmet

- Again, shoulder patch of the primary logo might be good

- Socks are too high up on the socks

Pittsburgh Penguins Concepts (By: Brooks F.)

+ I've always been really like the idea of the Pens going to double (or in Brook's case triple) blue again with the Robo-pen logo, a really interesting idea

+ The angled neon light like striping goes really well with the Robo-Pen logo.

+ The black also adds to the look, like Tron

+ Good execution

- Not the biggest fan of the blank pants, maybe just a logo but something

- I don't dislike the alternate, but it the logos look out of place. Ditch the robo pen and you've got a winner

- Tv numbers are too large

Arizona Coyotes Concepts (Dylan T.)

+ I may be in the minority, but I really like the addition of green in this concept, it's used minimally enough it blends into the sand & slate

+ Simple striping, but lots of colours without big patches of black, what the 'Yotes should have done when they redesigned.

+ Good execution

+ I really like the black jersey, and using the unused growling face/moon logo and the Kachina pattern with lots of black and green

- There should be two shoulder patches on the black jersey, simple since it looks uneven if there isn't

- All the shoulder patches are much too large

- The numbers should have an outline

- Do mind the loose pixels, not a big deal, but a clean presentation is always good

Dallas Mavericks Concepts (By: Taylor R.)

+ If anyone can do the difficult transfer of NBA jerseys to NHL, Taylor has done it very will with his recent series, and this what I'd picture the Mavs to look like as a direct hockey translation

+ The colours on the blue jersey are perfectly placed, the white jerseys look good too but I'll explain why the blue one looks better

+ The Pants pattern is a nice touch 

+ Great execution

- The underarms of the white jersey are too bare, which is what the current Mavs white jerseys would look like if they had sleeves I'm sure, but adding some blue would help both jerseys

Phoenix Suns Concepts (By: Taylor R.)

+ Based on his tweets about it, Taylor had a very hard time with this concept, I know the Suns are a hard team to do...and I like the Suns jerseys....I even own one, but they are not easy to transfer onto hockey jerseys

+ The white jersey is a perfect translation of the Suns jersey, and aside from the big orange stripes on the yoke are exactly how the Suns jersey look

+ The faded stripes add a nice ray-like touch to the jersey

+ Good execution

- The jerseys are not the best hockey jerseys, baring in mind what I said about the Suns jerseys, you couldn't faithfully transfer the jerseys to hockey and have them work
