Saturday: Six Nations & Two Things We Made Up
The winner of the COTW vote for August 12-18 was Avi and his Team USA World Cup concepts.
The winner of the International Outdoor Classic Competition is JJ!
The COTW nominees for August 26 - September 1 have been listed on the side of the page. This group of COTW nominees comes from two weeks ago, this past week, and a competition winner. All because my old laptop crapped out. The voting rules still stay the same though. You'll need to be logged into a Google account to see the poll and votes will not be counted after noon Eastern on Friday.
All of the entries are in for the COTW Challenge. We only had ten, so the vote will simply be a Top 3 vote. The vote will be available to those logged into their Google account and votes will be counted up until Friday at noon Eastern. The winner of this competition will also be the COTW winner for the week of August 19-25.
Simply click the banner at the top of the page or go to the COTW CHALLENGE tab to see the entries and to vote.
Last week's poll asked you guys which coming (and unseen) Winter Classic jersey you are most intrigued by.
St. Louis was the most popular choice. It will be interesting to see if they go with a direct throwback or if they put something new together drawing from all their past jerseys collectively. Will the Blues wear blue? Would too many people be offended by a yellow jersey?
On the other side, will the Blackhawks go throwback or fauxback? And when will we see these jerseys released?
This week's poll focuses on the World Cup of Hockey. Who will win and who will lose? Who has the best and worst jersey? Plus, you get to rate the event logo. Vote now and the results will be discussed next Saturday.

We had three applications for a new HJC Writer. After my laptop went down I didn't have enough time to review those apps. I hope to get to it this weekend and have the new writer in place for their first post on Tuesday, September 13.

If I may talk about the logo, it looks like a rainbow-colored paper bag concealing an alcoholic beverage, as if I'm riding the Long Island Railroad.
Is it just me, or is the poll for the COTW Challenge not up?
@Lucas D. same here
I'll fix that soon.
Ha! That's the best description of the WCH logo I've heard, Phil!
