Sunday: First One of March!
Howdy everybody. Welcome back. Kick back and enjoy this post today because the fact that it's Monday tomorrow will set in very soon.
Anyways, some of you might remember me writing about the University of South Florida's hockey team. Well they made it to the ACHA Nationals this year in Columbus and I just want to say congratulations to them on working hard and looking good while doing it. Good luck USF.
As for the what's going on here, we currently have all the Pairs Comp teams showing off what they made. I guess it's no surprise that me and BPoe, the two Pittsburgh writers, chose Pittsburgh. Good luck to everyone who entered. Also, we have the normal COTW voting so get on that before you get over to the design blog to look at the pair designs.
To the concepts!
Negatives: Wasn't the best choice to go with the two tone sleeves with the arm stripes in the middle on the white. It's just too busy with the four thin stripes.
Overall: 8/10 COTW NOMINEE!
Negatives: Those white pants and name bar on the vintage jersey. Change them to black please.
Overall: 7.75/10
Negatives: That yellow and blue two tone arms on the alternate is an eye sore. It would look a lot better as red.
Overall: 7.75/10
Negatives: We have the yellow on white syndrome going on here. Also Those green sleeves and yoke on the main jersey just aren't working.
Overall: 7/10
Negatives: Tyler. How could you forget the TV numbers? This design had so much potential but you went and forgot the TV numbers. because of that I have no choice but to knock your design down to my minimum grade.
Overall: 6/10
Well guys that's everything I have for you today. Don't forget to get over to the design blog this week to look at all the pair comp entries. Have a good week and I'll see you this time next week!

COTW Feb 27 - Mar 2 vote (ends Friday @ noon Eastern)
To the concepts!
Lucas D- New York Islanders
Positives: The play on the old Stadium Series/Alternate jersey was an excellent Idea. The four stripes was a good Idea as well. Overall it's a really good design on the dark jersey.Negatives: Wasn't the best choice to go with the two tone sleeves with the arm stripes in the middle on the white. It's just too busy with the four thin stripes.
Overall: 8/10 COTW NOMINEE!
Mike F- Estonia
Positives: Estonia is one of the few countries in Europe that doesn't use the Nike template for their jerseys so the designs you made are pretty realistic to what they would use. The primary designs are pretty nice with the crest on the front and the blue alternate is nice but it's remind me of the Monster's old Alternate.Negatives: Those white pants and name bar on the vintage jersey. Change them to black please.
Overall: 7.75/10
Mike F- Romania
Positives: Romania's actual jerseys are pretty ugly so the primaries that you made are nice to see as a really simple option. Also, while that yellow vintage looks borderline Swedish, The red gives it that nice distinction.Negatives: That yellow and blue two tone arms on the alternate is an eye sore. It would look a lot better as red.
Overall: 7.75/10
TC M- Portland Pioneers (NHL Expansion)
Positives: The logo is really nice and the dark jersey looks pretty good. While yellow and light blue doesn't usually look good together, you pulled it off really well.Negatives: We have the yellow on white syndrome going on here. Also Those green sleeves and yoke on the main jersey just aren't working.
Overall: 7/10
Tyler M.S.- Los Angeles Kings
Positives: While it is just a copy of the early 2000's jersey, that isn't a bad thing. Also, the fact that you recolored the burger king logo to match the colors of the jersey turned out pretty good on the yoke as shoulder stripes.Negatives: Tyler. How could you forget the TV numbers? This design had so much potential but you went and forgot the TV numbers. because of that I have no choice but to knock your design down to my minimum grade.
Overall: 6/10
