Stanley Cup Final Game 1 Live Blog
That was a lot of fun tonight. Thanks to everyone that dropped in and contributed. If you sent in a concept and it didn't get posted tonight, I will do a bunch of quick hits for tomorrow's post. I will now try to sleep and then wake up in 5 and a half hours to go into work...woo hoo. Also, there's only an hour left in voting for the city for our next ReDesign (right side of the page) I'll reveal the winning city tomorrow!

2nd intermission and still no score. These teams are so good that I'm hesitant to say I smell overtime. However, both Luongo and Thomas look to have brought their A game. If it does go into OT...then double OT...then triple OT...HJC will be here all night.

Last week I linked to an NHL 12 video. Frequent HJC contributor Tex, pointed out that in one of the clips Martin Brodeur had Reebok on the back of his jersey instead of the usual "Reebox" logo. This is pure speculation but, does this possibly hint to the NHL using the Reebok wordmark on the back of jerseys instead of the logo? As you can see from the image below, European leagues already do it.

I really cant wait to see what city gets the team for the redesign.
Why did Vancouver downgrade from such a wonderful jersey in 1971 to probaly the second worst jersey in NHL history (Behind the Islanders Groton Fisherman jerseys of the 1990's)?

You said something about the champ shirts you designed not being that great. I totally disagree. I think they are amazing especially since they are so simple. I bet the ones they actually give away look gaudy compared to the ones here
This is the last Stanley Cup Finals my older ever saw! He passed less than a year later during his Kings Stanley Cup run n 2012!
