Wednesday: Middle class

It's Wednesday, Wednesday, everybody's gettin' down on Wednesday. Ok so its hump day, middle of the week, "le noyeau de la semaine", Mercredi, Miercoles, whatever you want to call it, that means today we have some concepts for you. Before ya'll get too excited we've got some business to take care of. Voting. You don't need a special degree or education to vote, you just need a finger and an opinion... also a device of some sort, especially a device of some sort.

Bpoe96 - Team USA

I really like the execution and presentation here, it shows that time was put into this concept. From the overall look I like the colours, not to much blue, not to much red. People usually tend to go for a darker blue but Bpoe opts for a lighter shade which I don't mind at all. The overall design is simple, I can't complain but it's a bit to simple, I'd like to see some flash, maybe adding stars could help. Overall: 7.5/10 

Coby S - Team USA

Ugh this concept really makes me wan't to shop at Walmart and get a burger. Ok sorry that was a bit to stereotypical of me. But really... now this scream 'murica. I love the look of the red jersey. The arm stripes really demonstrate the flag well. My one issue would be that the arms of the dark jersey are too busy, get rid of or maybe even sublimate the stars (but keep the ones on the shoulders). The light jersey is a bit boring compared to the dark jersey, but it still looks good. Maybe adding arm stripes to it could make it better. Don't forget to credit the logos! Overall: 7.5/10

David P - Team Sweden

The first of David's two concepts is a team Sweden concept. I really like the idea behind the sweden shoulder logo, well thought of. Besides that I think this concept needs a bit of work. I don't care for the big crowns on the sleeves, they look out of place and you already have throw of them on the front of the jersey. Speaking of primary crest, The three crowns look boring, they need some sort of outline, right now they look like clip art. I do dig the alternate jersey's logo. One of my biggest pet peeves is when the chest stripe doesn't wrap fully around the jersey, but I won't hold it against you. Overall: a well executed set, but I feel like I've seen better from David. 7/10

David P - North Americans 

Davids second concept is for the North Americans Young guns. I think these are going to be interesting concepts to review, there is so much you can do with this idea. I really love the sublimated maple leaf and star on the arms, nice touch. I'm not a big fan of angled striping but it doesn't look half bad here. I'm not sold on the primary crest, looks a little plain to me. Other than that I like where this concept is heading! Overall: 7.5/10

SUC - Boston Bruins 

Mario De-edges the Bruins, and gives them a more classic look.. if thats possible. Not to many changes here, the big one being the yoke, which in my opinion is a downgrade. The second one being the numbers, which again I think is a downgrade... I like the triple outline they currently use. Besides that I think Mario has come a long way in his designs. I like everything else this set has to offer, so keep working at it! Overall: 6.5/10

SUC - Carolina Hurricanes

Holy balls! I never thought grey would look that good as a secondary colour for the Canes.. but it does!  I love it! This is miles better than what they currently wear. You can never go wrong with a classic look. A few issues would be the empty shoulders, slap thew secondary logo to fill it up. Mario also forgot to colour in the bottom of the hem stripe on the front of light jersey. Finally, add an outline to those numbers! Overall: fix the issues I mentioned, and you've got a winner! Overall: 7.5/10 

Today was an overall good day. No concepts that stick out to me, so I will save my nomination, but every concept was solid! Good job everyone, and I'll see you next week.
