Tuesday: Time to Vote People!
Hi everybody. Your favorite Tuesday writer here (and the only Tuesday writer currently) to bring you another day of beautiful concepts. But before we can get to them...
VOTE FOR THE HJC OPEN RIGHT NOW!
Seriously people. J3 and Brooks deserve your vote after fighting there way through this whole tournament so get to it. Oh, and we have the usual COTW voting as well.
Concept Time!
Negatives: Those light blue pants on the home jersey look really strange in my opinion. The hems of the primaries look a little bare, and that comma isn't really necessary on the back of the heritage jersey.
Overall: 8.75/10
Negatives: Why change it to green and make them look like they belong to the Canucks? Also, the thin multi-stripe is pushing it with the green on white.
Overall: 7.5/10
Negatives: Not really a negative but more of a request. Put the Ohio state flag on the shoulder to nod to the primary logo please.
Overall: 8.75/10
Negatives: While I appreciate that you brought back black into the mix, just adding it to the ends of the jersey isn't the best solution. It makes it look a little out of place.
Overall: 8/10
Negatives: None
Overall: 10/10 COTW NOMINEE
Positives: I don't care what you say to me this logo looks like a 6th grader drew it up and gave it to the owner to use. Now that I have that off my chest, you design looks great here Ryan. The thin then thick stripe work well here in two different colors and using the sand color as the away fits really well here.
Negatives: The crest logo looks as little big.
Overall: 8.5/10
Positives: The logo looks fantastic on the front of the jersey with the three stars and the pants with the stars in the single stripe is a nice nod to the team's past. As for the arms, the use of blue looks really good on both the dark and light.
Negatives: This logo also looks slightly too big as well.
Overall: 8.75/10
Well folks that's all the concepts I have for you guys today. Don't forget to rag on Phil about how the Islanders can't seem to find an arena that actually works for hockey. He loves to hear about that. Have a good week and I'll see Yinz next week.

Fernando Moreno- Houston Space Cowboys
Positives: I laughed so hard after seeing this logo because it's just awesome yet hilarious at the same time. Top notch job on the template and logos. The arm striping on the home and away looks very good. As for the heritage jersey, it's nice to see the classic looking leather pants, gloves, and a leather helmet.Negatives: Those light blue pants on the home jersey look really strange in my opinion. The hems of the primaries look a little bare, and that comma isn't really necessary on the back of the heritage jersey.
Overall: 8.75/10
Jimmy Teed- Laval Citadelles
Positives: Bringing back the Citadelles name and logo would be a nice and this fairly simple design works really well with the logo overall. The thin multi-striping can be a little bit of an eye sore but it works.Negatives: Why change it to green and make them look like they belong to the Canucks? Also, the thin multi-stripe is pushing it with the green on white.
Overall: 7.5/10
Lucas Daitchman- Columbus Blue Jackets
Positives: The angled chest stripe looks amazing on this. The striping, minimal approach, it all works with the Blue Jackets overall design.Negatives: Not really a negative but more of a request. Put the Ohio state flag on the shoulder to nod to the primary logo please.
Overall: 8.75/10
Lucas Daitchman- Tampa Bay Lightning
Positives: Bringing in black onto the jersey is an excellent idea for the Lightning because there main jersey is kind of bland without it.Negatives: While I appreciate that you brought back black into the mix, just adding it to the ends of the jersey isn't the best solution. It makes it look a little out of place.
Overall: 8/10
Lucas Daitchman- Tampa Bay Lightning
Positives: Now this is a good use of black on the ends of the jersey. overall great job with this design by bringing back the silver into the logo and using lightning bolts as actual striping. The classic blue you use in this is also nice.Negatives: None
Overall: 10/10 COTW NOMINEE
Ryan Christensen- Tucson Roadrunners
Positives: I don't care what you say to me this logo looks like a 6th grader drew it up and gave it to the owner to use. Now that I have that off my chest, you design looks great here Ryan. The thin then thick stripe work well here in two different colors and using the sand color as the away fits really well here.
Negatives: The crest logo looks as little big.
Overall: 8.5/10
Ryan Christensen- Washington Capitals
Positives: The logo looks fantastic on the front of the jersey with the three stars and the pants with the stars in the single stripe is a nice nod to the team's past. As for the arms, the use of blue looks really good on both the dark and light.
Negatives: This logo also looks slightly too big as well.

The "green" in Jimmy T's concept is the gold from the original Quebec logo.
Thanks for the review, Steven! Honoured to get my second 10/10. I feel like an Ohio flag would complicate the look as a shoulder patch, but I agree it's look good somewhere, maybe as a hanger effect. My first Tampa concept was to incorporate black without it touching blue, and so it wouldn't stand out on the uniform (black and blue are very much alike anyway).
Fernando's Space Cowboys for COTW. Great name, great logos, and I like the uniforms as well.
Second to Lucas' Lightning Alt
