And a Happy Saturday to All!
I sit here writing this post and I have yet to get dressed and I don't have anywhere to be until later tonight. Arent't Saturday's great?!?!?!
Where am I going later tonight? I'm going to see the OHL's Oshawa Generals play the Ottawa 67's. The game is at Oshawa's GM Centre which is somewhat like a miniature Air Canada Centre. I actually got to play beer league hockey at GM Centre last summer! The winner of the game I could probably care less about, I more care about possibly seeing one of the better jerseys in the CHL.
Oshawa Generals 3rd jersey
That's all for the OHL, lets move on to some concepts.
Phoenix Coyotes conceptThis is Jack's concept. He's used a really great and simple striping pattern. As I stated in the last post, I really like the 'Yotes wordmark. Maybe not so much with the moon here. I personally like the single colour numbers that Phoenix uses and don't see a need for an outline. I do like the presentation here Jack, nice job.
Washington Capitals conceptEverytime I think about a Capitals 3rd jersey concept, so many ideas come to my head. It seems really easy to brainstorm Caps alt sweater ideas. I came up with this one last night and drew it up this morning. Granted, it took all morning and I was half asleep, but I like this. I tried to go outside the box a little bit with the CAPS down the sleeve. It might have worked better with the stars from the right sleeve, but I left it on there to be different. The logo is an abandoned logo that the the team created when it realized the blue and copper wasn't terribly popular with their fans.
The final concept today comes from Avi
New York Rangers conceptMy favourite part of this concept is the stripes on the shoulder yokes. That's a very under used element on hockey jerseys. The Bruins do it, but they combine it with a full yoke.
That's it for now, maybe for this weekend also. We'll see. Make sure to leave a comment and tell everyone what you think.
