Week of November 21-27, 2011
This is going to be one of the bigger posts ever! No better place than to start from the top, here we go...
The Flyers released their Winter Classic jersey today. This jersey will become the 3rd jersey next season. It has all of the retro inspired elements that you would expect, felt numbers and logo, vintage white, collar laces and so on. I have to say that the Flyers' website has done a terrible job as far as pictures of the jersey goes. They currently have 4 pics of Schenn and Betts wearing the jerseys and 2 pics of construction workers laying down the first level of flooring on the ball field for the game itself. As for a score out of 10, I give it a 7.5.We could revisit all of the Flyers Winter Classic concepts that have come in, or we could just again be reminded of Avi's concept that was posted on October 12. I will have the blank template tomorrow, which is also HJC's 2nd birthday!
Here are the final set of California and Montreal DHL entries.

Go check out the DHL page for a link to both of these team's galleries. Then Voting Committee Members can send in their "Top 5" votes for both teams. (Vote for your Top 5 for CALF and then another Top 5 for MTL)
The next two teams that we will be creating concepts for in the DHL are the Pittsburgh Pirates and the Toronto Blueshirts! Entries will be accepted until Sunday, November 27, 2011 @ 11:59pm EST. The rules will be STRICTLY enforced for the final two rounds. Please be sure to read them and follow them. You can see the rules on the DHL page. That's also where you can get the logos needed for Toronto and Pittsburgh.
The COTW vote is now up.The nominees are listed on the left side of the page. You can see the concepts by clicking on that banner or going to the CONCEPT OF THE WEEK tab. Committee Members can get their votes in until Thursday @ 11:59pm EST.
Montreal Maroons concepts (by Stéphane)California Golden Seals concepts (by Stéphane)These would have been accepted, but they did not contain the logos provided and they have the NHL logo on them. I still think they are quite good and should be posted. For anyone who wants to, feel free to create new logos for the DHL teams. The only requirement is that the team logos provided on the DHL page are ANYWHERE on your home and road jerseys (3rd jerseys can be logo free).
Philadelphia Flyers Winter Classic concept (by Joseph)Philadelphia Flyers Winter Classic concept (by Joseph)Philadelphia Flyers Winter Classic concept (by Joseph)Now that the actual jerseys are out I thought it would be a good day to post these concepts from Joseph. I like the Liberty Bell logos and the Flyers logo in the keystone. I'm not entirely sold on the vintage white helmets though. My favourite is concept #3.
Winter Classic concepts (by Glen)That's a very solid Flyers jersey. I think that would have looked good with the old Cooperalls! The Rangers jersey also looks good, but I think it needs more blue rather than red. Perhaps switching the colours of the script on the front would help that?

Nomination for Stephane's Seals concepts seconded.
i'm so dissapointed with those Flyers jerseys. I wouldn't buy one (that just wouldn't be right)but Glen's concept would've great, much, much better.
@Tex, I already have one! I actually have the jersey Brayden Schenn modelled in the picture above! Funny story about that jersey but honestly i felt the same way as you with the jerseys but once you see them in person they are so clean and very good looking too!
@Ryan, more pics if you want them!
@Kevin: I'll take as many pics as you got!
btw glen for cotw. forgot tomention that but his jersey is amazing! (flyers not rangers.)
Second that nomination for Glen.
