Wednesday: Avs, Bruins, Sens, and More!

The end response to the HJC Jersey was disappointing, to say the least. Total units sold; 3. That includes me, my wife, and one other order. The ad for the jersey has been taken down, but Jersey53.ca keeps the design on file. So anyone who becomes interested in purchasing a HJC jersey later can email me and another one will be made.

Worcester Sharks concepts (by NB14)

If you're going to do non-NHL concepts, I prefer when people take the time to remove the NHL marks, namely in the collar insert, from the jersey. For the home and road, I think the logo could use some orange trim to tie into the jerseys better. I'm not a fan of that orange 3rd, but the other one isn't bad. 5/10

Anaheim Ducks concept (by Stephen T.)

Stephen has combined the 90's 3rd jersey with the current 3rd jersey to create "Wild..er Wing". Just kidding, I just made that name up. It's not overly terrible, but there are some execution errors (tip of the collar, back Reebok logo, Ducks logo still green in primary). 5/10

Colorado Avalanche concepts (by Elias)

I've said for a long time that the Avs need a new look and this one isn't half bad. The colours say to me that this is a "dangerous" avalanche. I really like the blue home jersey, but not the white one as much. 7/10

These are pretty cool too and well executed. I wouldn't use a red yoke on the white jersey, I'd leave it white. I'd also add a white outline to the primary and shoulder crests. Perhaps a white inside outline on the numbers of the road jersey. 7/10

Boston Bruins concepts (by Thomas L.)

I really like the squared yokes and the reversing of the arm stripe colours of the home jersey. I don't think the white collars work very well here though. 8/10

Boston Bruins concept (by MasonII)

Mason has based his concept on one of Eric W's concepts. Unfortunately, Mason's concept just looks too much like the Hawks' old 3rd jersey to me. I would change the colour of the collar insert from white to black. It's really well executed though. 7/10

Boston Bruins concepts (by Bobby P.)

I really like the updated/retro logo and road jersey. It a perfect blend of old and new. The 3rd jersey is spectacular. I think that would look awesome if the Bruins ever played in another outdoor game. Maybe we'll see some retro type jerseys for the Bruins 90th anniversary in a couple of years? This gets a COTW nom form me! 9/10

Adirondack Phantoms concepts (by Elias)

These are cool, I like the design. Again though, AHL...no NHL marks. Back to the design, it's similar enough to the Flyers to tie the two teams together, but different enough to make them Adirondack's jerseys. Nicely done. 7/10

Ottawa Senators concept (by Tyler G.)

I'm not a fan of this one. The white piping and the black side panels just seem to me like there was space to colour and so it was filled. The simple arm stripes are nice, so perhaps if only the hem stripes were there and made thicker then this could be a winner. 6/10

I appreciate the attempt at changing the logo, but it just looks unfinished. I really like the yoke tips/shields. The number on the back is not "sports like" enough for my tastes. The arm stripes also are going outside of the lines. 6/10

It sounds like a lot of people, myself included, would like the Senators to get away from the Reebok jerseys they wear now. Something along the lines of this simplification would do nicely. There is something that needs to be cleaned up here which is using consistent shades of red and black from jerseys to logos. 7/10
