Friday: Sharks Circling
Hello HJC, Happy friday to you! I can't believe how fast that week went... seriously I forgot that today was friday, it was that fast. Today's post is going to be short and sweet.
Here are your voting reminders. There are plenty of concepts nominated for COTW, which means we need to have a good voter turn out to ensure that multiple way 2 vote ties don't happen. Just take 30 seconds right now and vote. Go on. This post isn't going anywhere. It will still be here once you've finished emailing in your votes.

On to te Concepts!
Delaware Pioneers - Austin E.
Here is Austin's award winning entry into the Pioneers comp. That grey jersey is really the crown jewel of this set, and was a great choice by the Pioneers for part of their jersey set. 8/10.
Delaware Pioneers - Robb C.
Many good sweaters here for the Pioneers from Robb. I really like the red helmet detail, to match the red hat of the Pioneer in the logo. I also really like the asymmetrical jersey with the cannon on the front... reminds me of Arsenal (my favourite soccer team). 8/10.
Toledo Walleye - Outdoor Game Jersey - ECHL - Kaner88
Overall a pretty good look here for the Walleye. Great colour combo. The only reservations I have with this sweater is the numbering. The white sticks out like a sore thumb, and the font seems a bit too modern for this sweater. I would try a more traditional font in the double blue colours. Also one small quick fix, colour in the inside of the sweater inside the collar to keep it authentic. It could be blue, it could be yellow, depending on how the sweater is stitched... It should not be white. 7/10.
San Jose Sharks - Justin S.
I really like the simplicity and colour balance on these sweaters. The teal cuffs and hem stripes are awesome on black or white backgrounds. I am not the biggest fan of the extended yoke, it makes the sweater seem a bit cluttered. Also on the back of the neck, there are some loose pixels going on.
7.5/10.
Quebec Nordiques - Christian L.
Maybe the best Nords concept I have seen from Christian yet! The light blue is definitely a winner, and I do like that striping pattern as mentioned last week. A big step up has been made on the logo. It has come a long way. The shoulder patches need to also be shown on the back view. 7/10.
San Jose Sharks - Avi S.
I think general consensus is that the NHL needs a grey jersey, and that the Sharks are a prime candidate for said grey sweater. Avi does a great job carrying the colour grey into the current sharks sweater set. No complaints from me here. 8/10.
Team Austria - IIHF - Stephen T.
Keeping it simple is really the best way to go for the IIHF. Overall these sweaters look really good, but a few small nitpicks. The logo is WAY too big. also adding some thin white stripes outside the arm striping to better define the Austrian flag striping would be a good idea, in my opinion. 7/10.
1920's San Jose Sharks - Dylan Wonka
This is a really creative idea. I the striping design is very 1920's, I love the stripeyness, and way to be authentic with no nameplates. What would really pop this sweater up a notch is using a more time appropriate logo (or wordmark maybe?) for the sharks. As is, the logo is anachronistic. 7.5/10.
Carolina Hurricanes - Avi S.
The "Hurricane" warning striping pattern NEEDS to come back. It was so unique, and now the Canes just look so generic. I really like the lack of white on this sweater, the silver works really well in the logo, and I like how that carries over to the rest of the sweater. 8/10.
Well, that does it for Friday. Have a great weekend, and don't forget to get your AHL Stadium Series entries in, and to VOTE! I will see you all back here next week. Same Time, Same Place.

I will most definitely nominate Dylan Wonka's 1920's Sharks. What a cool idea, hopefully it turns into a full series of jerseys.
