Saturday: Getting Closer
The winner of the COTW vote for Dec 28 - Jan 3 was Dylan's Hurricanes concept!
Dylan's Canes concept moves on to the COTY-December vote! Wow, now we're really getting close to determining our 2014 Concept of the Year. We'll have this monthly vote this week. 4th Quarter Vote the week after followed by the COTY Semi-Finals the week after that. Then of course comes the head-to-head Concept of the Year vote.
Anyways, COTY-December as well as the first COTW vote of 2015 votes are due by Friday @ 11:59pm Eastern. Click the red banner on the side of the page to see the COTY-December entrants and click the black banner to see the COTW nominees. Email your votes in before the end of Friday and remember, ANYONE CAN VOTE! Also, join the COTW Mailing List.
Here is the last entry into the World Cup Logo Competition
You can now go to the WORLD CUP page, or click the banner at the top of the page, and cast your Top 3 votes for the logos entered. For two week competition there certainly aren't many entries, but there are enough good ones to keep going. I have a feeling that when we do jerseys next, the competition will be more popular.
World Cup logo votes are due by Friday @ 11:59pm Eastern.
As I mentioned two weeks ago, I have designed the jersey that the Quad City Mallards will wear for their January 31st "Original Six" game.
I've bought my plane tickets and booked my hotel and I'm headed out to Moline, Illinois to catch the game and see the jerseys in action. It should be pretty cool.
I heard a rumour this week that if we don't get enough votes for COTY and COTW, that every team in the NHL will chrome-ify their logos and change their colours to black and neon green. Apparently that's very "in" for 2015.
So tell the NHL how you feel about those chrome and neon jerseys by emailing your COTY-December and COTW votes in before the Friday deadline!

I'm loving everything that Dylan N. has come out with recently. Everything is clean and looks like it should be on a professional hockey jersey. Also, I love the Mallards jersey, the final looks great! Congrats man.
