The winner of the COTY-January vote was Christian L's Buffalo Sabres concept!
We'll be seeing Christian's concept again in April for the 1st Quarter Vote.
The winner of the COTW vote for February 8-14 was Matt M! We would have had a tie, but I chose to avoid that and not vote this week.
The only reason it's unfortunate that this concept won is because it actually violated the HJC Logo Use Policy. The World Cup logo should have been credited to Scott G.

This past week I added a new jersey to my collection!

SportsK.com has had this Leafs jersey for sale for at least a year and I finally had enough extra cash to get it Pro Stitched with POTVIN 29 on the back. I'm really impressed that they were even able to get the NOB font accurate. Even the Leafs' store at the Air Canada Centre can't even get that font right.
I also have a Stanley Cup 100th Anniversary patch, which I will have applied to the jersey. That will make it a 92-93 Felix Potvin road jersey. 1992-93 is the season that I always mark as my first season as a real hockey fan.
For Christmas 1992 I was given a blue Felix Potvin jersey. That very day, at Christmas dinner, I accidentally stuck the sleeve of my new jersey in my aunt's new set of paints. So this is the first clean Felix Potvin jersey I've ever had!

Christian's 2014 Concept of the Year Championship plaque has been built and is currently in transit to him.
I've asked him to share at least one picture of it when it arrives. I'm just like everyone else, I've never seen these plaques in person (except for the 2011 edition). From what every winner has told me the quality is good and the plaques look great.

Go to the STADIUM SERIES page to view the rules. Seriously guys, don't over think this one. I created this competition to be as simple as possible. Just follow the few rules that have been posted. Entries are due on Friday.
