Thursday: Negative Deadline Eve
Hello everyone, welcome back!
No uniform related news to report on but yesterday was the trade deadline, as many of you would know, and quite frankly there weren't many interesting trades, but a lot of depth moves. As a Pens fan, I was somewhat hoping they would trade for Duchene, but after seeing what Colorado was asking for him I'm glad the Pens strayed from him, and I'm happy with the few moves they made to improve their defensive depth. I'd predict that the Penguins have a shot at another cup as long as they play to their potential.
-----------------------
This week things are pretty simple on the voting end, as most of you only have to worry about the COTW vote. There's also the pairs competition entries due before noon tomorrow, so if you're entering, I'd recommend using tonight to finalize and submit your entries.

+I like the traditional and modern route taken for these jerseys.
+Good color balance in the set.
-I think the home jersey would look better as primarily red, though; it would match better with the set.
-Man, these are some busy striping patterns. Way too many stripes.
+I think an exception can be made for the alternate because of the gradient-esque pattern you're going for.
+Good logo choices.
+Thanks for noting on the concept that it's supposed to be sublimated, but personally I'm not sure why you'd want it to be. To each their own I guess.
Overall: 8/10

+Buffalo really needs to drop that gray/silver.
+A chest stripe works pretty well with Buffalo.
+Good color balance on both uniforms.
-Unless it's just me, the sock stripes look more spaced out on the socks than on the jerseys.
-The TV numbers are too squished inside that stripe.
+Much better location for the NHL 100 patch.
-Not a fan of the split collar design when part of it blends with the jersey, but unfortunately it may be something we see with Adidas.
Overall: 8.5/10

+Good use of the flag pattern on the jerseys.
-If we're being realistic though, they would probably never be creative enough to add that in an NHL game.
+It's nice that it follows off of their actual jerseys as well.
-It would look better on the white jersey if it was attached to the blue, though. As it is it looks like it's floating.
+The alternate is a nice usage of their third color, and I love the flag striping.
-It would look so nice if it was on the hem stripe too.
+The vintage jersey does a good job of looking vintage, like always.
-It looks a little bit modern/vintage though. Not sure if you were going for that.
Overall: 7.5/10
Mike F. - Lithuania
+You sure make an odd and bright color scheme like this look pretty good, and not overbearing.
+These ones look much more likely to be in the game.
+That flag striping on the alternate is again a great look
-The red and green vibrate a bit, though.
-The alternate reminds me a lot of a vintage football jersey...probably not a good look for a hockey team.
+It's not far off from a nice look, though. Just add some hem stripes and probably sock stripes and you're good.
Overall: 8.5/10

I don't believe I've seen you here before, so welcome!
+Traditional designs are a good place to start for beginners, and this one would look pretty nice with just a few adjustments, so if this is your first concept it's a great start, and you'll only get better.
-It's not very creative, but you'll develop that if you continue to create concepts.
-Out of any logos for KSU... I'm not sure why you chose the ones that look outdated, unless this was supposed to be a fauxback/throwback look.
-The sock stripes are way too high, and would be hidden under the pants. Take a look at the concepts above by Mike and Chris for how to properly place the sock stripes.
-The yellow and vintage white blend in way too much, the yellow is barely even noticeable. The vintage white also looks very dark. It should be a bit closer to this.
-The name and numbers look a tad small. TV numbers are fine, though.
Overall: 6/10

And that's all for today! I hope you guys enjoyed the post, thanks for reading, and I'll see you all next week!
