Sunday: The End is Near!
Hi everybody. No I'm not talking about the apocalypse. I'm talking about the NHL regular season. I'd say one of the biggest stories is the playoff appearance streak by the Red Wings. It still blows my mind that their streak of making it to the playoffs was 25 years (excluding the lockout years). Let me put this into perspective for you. I'm 25 and the Red Wings have never missed the playoffs as long as I've been alive. That streak reminds me of another team that I hold near to my heart, the Pittsburgh Pirates. That's a story for another blog though.

Onto the Concepts!
Positives: Mixing the former shield logo with the current colors looks beautiful on this jersey. Also, the simple striping works really well and keeping the numbering was a good idea.
Negatives: The crest logo looks slightly too low and the numbers on the back look a bit to big. Also, that white on the ends of the dark jersey just looks awkward. Change it to silver.
Overall: 8/10
Positives: There's a good bit I like about this design Anthony and, I must say, you are improving. The striping is really nice and it's something that's not seen but doesn't look clustered. Also, the numbers on the stripes was a good choice. Finally, that "Burlington" arched above the stripes was a nice touch.
Negatives: There's a bit I think that you could change to make this a great concept. First, the TV numbers. I've explained it enough to you so make the changes. Second, The numbers on the sleeves could be a little hard to read from a distance using the navy on the light jersey. Change it to white and it's would look great. Remember, it's ok to have different colored numbers.
Overall: 7/10
Positives: While I'm not a fan of random underarm striping, it works really well with this logo and jersey design overall. Also, the sleeve striping doesn't bother me one bit either.
Negatives: My only negatives are the TV numbers and that the crest logo looks a little low.
Overall: 7/10
Positives: Wow does this scream 90's but in a good way. The stripe on the chest and going to the back reminds me a lot of the burger king jersey and the stripes on the sleeves remind me of wings so it's really fitting. Overall you nailed a 90's themed jersey with (no pun intended) flying colors.
Negatives: My only negative is the collar. The single color is just blah for such a beauty like this.
Overall: 9/10 COTW NOMINEE!
Positives: Really neat hat design you made Jets. I like the fact that you used the front of the hat with the logo.
Negatives: Aren't the Railers Navy, Silver, and White? Make it the colors of the team and this is something I would buy.
Overall: 8.5/10
Positives: Dream Jersey right here. What better way to mend the bad blood of the Rangers kicking the Americans out of the Garden than by wearing a modified version of their jersey? You did a pretty good job overall on the jersey TC.
Negatives: I get the time period thing but the Americans did wear blue pants at one time so I feel that would be more fitting than the faux-leather. Also, a blue or white helmet isn't that bad either.
Overall:8/10
Positives: I always liked this version of the outdoor jersey for the Blackhawks so modifying it to show the correct proportions looks really good. It gives the Blackhawks a modern style jersey but it's not too modern.
Negatives: It would be nice to see the crossed tomahawks logo on the shoulders.
Overall: 8.5/10
Positives: I'd have to say that the same goes for this jersey as well. The stadium series design was really nice and modifying it to make it a normal style jersey was a good idea.
Negatives: The numbers would look better off of the stripes and in white.
Overall: 8.25/10

- Put it on glassware to drink your cheap brand of beer in your college apartment
- apparel to work out at the gym
- a toilet seat for those superfans
- framed poster for that man cave/ bar you have
- and, of course, custom blade tape to make sure you don't grab the wrong stick

Zach H.'s Minnesota Concept for COTW
As for why I made my hat black and white, it was for two reasons. The first being I know that black and white variants of hats tend to be popular but more so that I find their colour scheme to be kind of boring and drab, I didn't think it translated well to the hat
I'll second Brooks' Capitals concept for COTW! That's a perfect 90's design for the Capitals.
3rd Brooks' concept, with a close 2nd being jets' WRHC hat.
