On with today's concepts!
+ The 2011 Heritage Classic jerseys proved the Flames can totally rock a yellow and maroon jersey
+ Thanks for including the alternate shoulder patch and numbers, it really works
+ The striping has a subtle mountain feel to it
+ Solid execution
- The custom logo is nice, but I don't think it's an upgrade over their current primary, but I'm almost certain this concept will get some COTW love regardless of my opinion on the logo!
Rating: 9/10
Toronto Maple Leafs Stadium Series Concept (By: Lucas D.)
+ Again another solid prediction here, not quite as close as Joe's but that's only because of the yoke
+ The blue stripe on the hem looks great
+ Glad to see the T logo on the pants from the 2017 CC
+ Again, great execution
- I do prefer the event logo in the arm stripes
- The yoke would look good with a blue helmet and white pants (call me crazy) or maybe with the logo being blue despite me thinking the white logo looking better on the real thing
Rating: 8.75/10
Canton Bluecoats Concepts (By: Noah K.)
+ Looking at the image behind the jerseys, you've done a good job trying to replicate the band's uniforms
+ Thanks for including the info the silver, as without it I don't think it works with the brushed steel/metallic blue
+ Chest stripes works with the logo
+ Good execution
- Silver and blue blend together a lot on the blue jersey, pant stripes and gloves
- I shouldn't have just stuck a silver penny on the shoulders, but something similar to it and more importantly, simple
- Primary logo is a bit too large
Rating: 6.5/10
Team Finland 2018 Olympics Concepts (By: FC Macbeth)
+ We're very used to Finland wearing the double blue look, but I find it refreshing to call back to the lighter blue and white
+ I don't really mind the idea of the SUMOI logo under the script, it works a lot more for IIHF/Minor League teams than the NHL
+ Can't say I've seen the Blue Jays/New York Football Giants Skyline font used in hockey, and I happen to be a huge fan of it on its own Can't say I've ever seen the SEGA font on a jersey
+ Good execution and much better presentation; your execution is getting a lot better with each new concept series, FC!
- I just don't think it has much to do about Finland. It looks good, but I'm not sure what the connection to Finland is I have no idea what the SEGA font has to do with Finland, being that they are a Japanese company, and it's overall just distracting
- If you're going to put the lion logo on the bottom of the script, I wouldn't repeat it on the shoulders
- Numbers are a bit off centre and close together on the back; not too bad but just enough to be noticeable
Rating: 7.75/10
2019 NHL All Star Game San Jose Concept (By: Ryan HJC)
+ If a faux 90s style ever came up, this would be a prime example of how to make it work
+ Love how colourful the logo is
+ Everything is cartoony and over the top, dare I say tubular, but there's a level of polish to this concept that makes me think this is professional
+ Everything is included her and makes me think this is a plausible logo set, even including the ice
+ Fantastic execution
Rating: 10/10 COTW Nom from me!
