Monday: Finnish Creamery King Cougar Cowboys Named Bill
Hey readers.
Another week means there's COTW voting, and there's quite the number of concepts, so remember to vote so there is no stalemate.
This concept, like the Bills one, keeps the Texans look intact, and is a nice transfer. That being said though, it really needs some white added to it, otherwise the red & the blue clash in a sense. The numbers and name have the same problem as the Bills concept, and I'm not huge on just having a yoke outline, its really a look only few can pull of well. However, it still is a good transfer and I think that was the main point of this concept (6/10)
Renfrew Creamery Kings Concept (By: Stephen T.)
Funny story, back in March 2011, I was bored and looking for this teams jersey, I went looking through images and one was a concept for this exact team, and that's how I found HJC, year and half of concepts later, I'm now a writer for it, time flys I guess! I like these, they need work, but there's still some stuff to like. The colours are cool, the chest stripe fits the period, and the old Washington Capitals numbers, which if you know me I really like, work to the concepts advantages. I only have two real problems with his concept but they are big. The first is the T.V. numbers, not only should they be halved, since there is only one 0, otherwise it'll be 00, they also blend into the arm and I'd imagine they'd be hard to see on the ice. My second problem is the socks. They, in my opinion should have all 3 colours, i.e. the beige socks should have black in them. (6.5/10)

Another entry into my WHA 40th anniversary. This one, I tried to get the look down, very simple, two colours, 70'sish but also not just use the hat logo, because the whole logo does suite a 70's look. Looking at it now, I feel like I could have used the horse logo with a cowboy hat on it, but I still like this concept, especially since I didn't have to use a yoke, which I feel is overused on away jerseys concepts some times, especially if the home doesn't have one .
Ottawa Senators Concept (By: Kyle C.)
I'm stumped on this one, it combines the early 2000's look with their current look, and even some hints to the 90's look, and...I'm not sure what to think of it. The gold kind of sticks out, if red was used instead of gold, I'd like it a lot more. But, using the side profile is an excellent idea, and the Peace Tower logo could be brought back and work like it does here. execution its done perfectly. (8/10)
Philadelphia Flyers Concept (By: Kyle C.)
I really like Philadelphia in a black, I actually think the late 90's, early 2000's jersey is perfect for the Flyers, and this works well too. I wish this looked like the one from 2002ish (nostalgia I guess), but everything works together well, but orange, black and white works well almost anytime its used. The yoke is where I have a problem, I think the second stripe is overused in my opinion, but its not bad. I may have used the 3D logo, but that's just my weird, weird, weird ways. (9/10)

In news the NHL and the NHLPA are talking...and that's pretty much all I can say, no further break-throughs in major issues but at least they are talking so maybe the is a hope, I don`t expect any big news soon until they really start negotiating and bargaining. Meetings will resume tomorrow.
And in news I'm paying atttention to more, the Toronto Marlies have released their new alternate for this season, its classic, it looks great: Check it out here.
And just for fun, whoever can guess the price of the Islander's organization wins something fun, pride in knowing. Hint: its pretty low all things considered.

On to today`s fill of concepts
Team Finland Concept (By: Daniel J)
This one seems kinda Pittsburghy, not that that's a horrible thing, but the numbers do make it look like this could be a Pens set. I do like these though, the colours work really well together with the way they are layed out. These jerseys do pull of the swift look well, especially on the white jersey, and its nice to see a Finnish jersey that's not light blue. (8.5/10)
Buffalo Bills Concept (By: Randall A.)
It suites the Buffalo Bills look very well, it actually looks very similar to their current jerseys, which I think may have been the idea here. The NFL logo in the collier and on the tag was a good idea, and is done rather well in my opinion. My only gripe is with the numbers on the back, they are too small, they should be about one third bigger, same goes for the name. However the overall execution is done rather nicely and I like how it keeps the Bills look intact. (8/10)

Chicago Cougars Concept (By: Me (Jets96)
Yellow, green and white, those colours look so good together, and yet, no one uses it anymore, and this I think is a good example of it. I really wanted to get the Chicago look down, its based off of the Pittsburgh alternate I dislike, but putting the space between the stripes makes it better. The numbers I think are needed to get the 70's look. I think making this green may have been a better idea but again, I was trying to get down what was actually worn during the WHA years, that's the point of this set.

150 mil for the Isles?!
@ Justin, close, but too low, you have the right number of digits
However you did get the value pretty well right (149 Mil) so tip of the hat to you sir.
@Jets96- Jeez, that's low! Lets all pitch in $149 Million and we'll have ourselves an NHL franchise! Ha are they the lowest in the league? Or is that Phoenix?
Randall gets an A for effort and creativity, but B- in execution on both . . .
@Justin, Phoenix is the lowest by far (134 million), but think double for the price tag for the Islanders, because as Pawn Stars says "They aren't in the buisness of breaking even".
Daniel for COTW anybody? I really like the navy jersey and it would make a GREAT third option.
