Happy St. Patrick's day. I have some Irish Blood in me so it's a celebration of some family heritage, because since it's a Monday...drinking really isn't wise! Anyways, enjoy your Guinness, Harp, Keith's whatever, enjoy your, as Jay Onrait said once, morning alcoholic beverage.
If you are sober enough to vote, please do so, If not, stop staring at the wall or singing piano man and sober up so you can vote! Last week, voting was at a good level, where it should be, this week, spread the word! If you have friends, family, acquaintances, co-workers or anyone who has an email account and get them to vote!

New Orleans Saints Concept (By: Kevin B.)

New Orleans has a devoted fan following and the entire look transfers well to hockey, like most teams in the NFL, especially with those unique colours. Kevin swifts up the Saints, but the concept is a fill bucket job with a hem stripe. The arms are just filled in black, adding striping to the arms will show some uniqueness in the concept, and define you artistic style. The hem stripe, while simple and done properly, would look better thicker. The concept is by no means bad, just adding some extra features will show your true artistic effort. (5.5/10)
MLB AL Central Crossover Concepts (By: David P.)

We continue into David's MLB/NHL crossover series, and we move to the AL Central.The concept is presented much less blurry this time, and the logos and stitching are made much clearer this time. The lack of TV number still hurts the execution, and I will give my individual thoughts below. (7.25/10)
Cleveland: The colours are balanced well and I like the look of the logo on the jerseys, a good surprise, didn't think this idea would work. I wouldn't have used the controversial logo
Kansas City: Loving the amount of the light blue and gold mixed in with the darker blue
Detroit: The Red Wings striping matches the olde english D but I would like to see some more orange on the striping,and not just on the collar insert
Minnesota Twins: The Twins have only ever worn one red jersey, and for a reason, it doesn't match their logo,the white jersey looks great!
Chicago White Sox: Blackhawks jerseys work well for any team!

Stephen continues with his fauxback series, a stop in Chicago. These jerseys are based on the late 40's jerseys, with some changes, since it is a fauxback. The home jersey removes the overwhelming amount of stripes down to double striping on the chest and arms, which is a trendy pattern, but it works with the time period. The road jersey looks amazing, and would be a great alternate; love the added stripes. Execution note: The back numbers are too low on the away jersey and not centered on the away jersey. (7.75/10)

For this set, the home jersey is based on the 1935-37 set, and the road is mix of the current away and the a for mentioned set. The blue jersey looks just different enough to be noticed and the white collar tie down looks amazing, all original 6 teams should wear a collar like that. I'm not huge on the thickness of the red on the white jersey's striping, but it overall looks decent, the square yoke saves it. Once again, the numbers are severely off centre and I wouldn't use a red name on the white jersey. (6.75/10)

In honour of St. Patty's day....a St. Patrick's day concept. The baby Pens are notorious for a massive amount of specialty third jersey and have done jerseys like this before. I like the angled arm striping and balance of gold, green and white through out most of the jersey. The problem comes from two things. One is the pixely numbers, script and shoulder patches, which would look better clear. The second problem is the black C is the only black script on the jersey. Eliminating the black completely from the jersey and focusing on the colours that blend well, or just use black to bold the other colours and separate them. (6.25/10)

TG blends a couple of eras to create this Amerks concept, that is, to put it it one word, patriotic. The stripes on the arms are all well and good, but the ones on the side panels, TG pulls those off nicely, and the stars compliment the logo well. The piping is nice, but what sells me on this jersey is the use of the ill fated and overall ugly 70's logo, which, despite everything I just said, makes a good shoulder patch. I still have no idea what it is, but it looks good and most fans would accept it as a secondary logo. I would just move the name plate down more and maybe make the numbers bigger. (9/10)

Buffalo Sabres Concepts (By: Michael G.)
I love the idea of the Sabres adding yellow to their home jersey, because hey,who doesn't like yellow? Michael's use of...double Sabres striping, one on top of the other, is a great idea, and balances the yellow and blue very well! The execution is great, I don't even mind the oversized tv numbers, but a revised, vintage version of the Buffaslug shoulder patch would look great and mix the modern and classic Buffalo history. (8/10)
Nashville Predators Concepts (By: Bastian S.)
Bastian has created a new template, the likes of which the NHL hasn't seen, for a team who's never wore anything traditional. The inverse curved arm striping and underarm slashes go perfectly well together but maybe adding a bit more blue and yellow to each arm so they don't look so bare. Combining the racing stripes and guitar striping numbers onto one jersey works, but I'd have the racing flag stripes on all the blue striping and the guitar strings on both sets of numbers. (8.5/10)
St. Louis Blues Concepts (By: Bastian S.)
The Blues are getting new jerseys and possibly logo next season, and many, including me, is to go back to the early 70's. Bastian has done a great job transferring what many call the best look the Blues never had. I like the minimal use of navy blue on both jerseys, but the middle stripe looks too thin on the blue jersey. Execution is great, it is Bastian, and the recoloured 90's shoulder patch is great. (9/10) COTW Nom from me!

I may not like the Bruins winter classic jerseys, but the striping is a good move for the baby Bruins to take the yellow (they already have)! The increased black on the yellow jersey is a great move across the set. The alternate jersey is good too, but I'm not sure if the modern alternate matches the 60's striping,I know the logo is based on the Bruins from the 30's, but I'm not sure. The only thing I'd change is taking the Bruins logo off the sleeve. (8.25/10)Providence Bruins Concepts (By: TG)

I have to nominate Micheal G's Sabres set for COTW, as much as it pains me as a caniac to nominate a sabres anything, this set diserve a it! It is such an upgrade to what they're wearing now and what can I say, YELLOW YOKE!!!!!
