Weekend Update (March 23)
Hello HJC fans!
It was a long process, but well worth it. We now have our winners in the Pairs Competition.
The Division 2 (Novice) winners are a pair of HJC writers, Alex O. & Jets96!
The Division 1 (Advanced) winners are Justin C. and Mat W.

The COTW nominees for the week of March 17-23 have been listed on the side of the page. In a rarely utilized rule, I had to choose the top 5 nominees due to an abundance of nominated concepts. Not familiar with that rule? You should read the COTW rules, which can be found on both the CONCEPT OF THE WEEK page and the COTY 2014 page. Voting for COTW ends on Friday.
It's time for a new HJC competition. This week's comp is called the Return of the Roadrunners. Click the banner at the top of the page or go to the ROADRUNNERS tab. Entries are due by Friday.
The ABOUT/CONTACT HJC page has been cleaned up and streamlined. Please take 2 minutes to read the page and familiarize yourself with the HJC rules and guidelines. I would really like people to focus on the HJC Logo Use Policy, which has been modified.
Made any summer vacation plans? Why not visit Toronto for a weekend? Sometime in the summer I'm looking to hold a HJC Meet-up here in Toronto. I'd like to do a live Weekend Update and take a group trip to the Hockey Hall of Fame. Probably grab some dinner too. We could bring some of our hockey jerseys for everyone to take a look at. If you're interested shoot me an email. We have about half a dozen people who have said they'd like to be a part of this, so join in the fun.

Ouch! Knew we weren't the best, but thought we'd do better than 2 votes hahaha.
Congrats to all of the winners, and good work by everyone involved. Would definitely love to do this contest again, but not for quite a while.
El Mani - you stated a very good point and I cannot agree more on that. Well, now an editor must compose an answer to that.
Not me, I'm a student from Alberta, and I can't afford to go to Toronto or Europe! I'll happily show up via Skype if possible haha.
Wow! A huge thanks to everyone that voted for Mat and I! This comp was incredibly fun and congrats to all of the other teams for some awesome presentations and to Alex and Jets96 for winning the novice division. Thanks everyone for your votes, Mat and I had a blast!
