The winner of the COTW vote for Sept 8-14 was...

Ok, so it's obvious that I screwed up this past week. I forgot to post the COTW nominees on the CONCEPT OF THE WEEK page and I didn't post the banner on the side of the page. Yes, I am an idiot! To correct my dunce ways we will be having two COTW votes this week! Both the Sept 8-14 vote and the Sept 15-21 vote will be happening at the same time.

If you were one of the two people to place a COTW vote last week, your vote has been cancelled and you will need to vote again.

Please forgive me, but this may be practice for when my new baby comes and I'll be all clutter brained for a bit.

The Disney Competition entry phase has come to an end. That means it's time to vote. It will be a Top 5 vote. Click the Disney banner at the top of the page or go to the DISNEY COMP tab to see the voting rules and the entries. Keep in mind that any entry that did not follow the HJC Logo Use Policy is not eligible to win the competition.

Josh L. used to send in concepts a while ago to HJC. Now he has focused his attention to his own forum called Roughing After The Whistle. Here are Josh's own words,

Roughing After The Whistle is a passionate hockey community and message board with almost 600 members. It's a place to talk about your favourite team, or just whatever's happening in the league. The site has been very successful in less than a year since it started up, and just this past week moved to a brand new site that will allow more control and better features for members. RATW invites fans of all teams to sign up and talk puck. If you don't see a forum for your favourite team, don't worry. They will launch a forum for any team if there's enough interest. For example, forums for the Bruins and Blackhawks were started earlier this year. It's a very friendly, civil community with moderators, so you won't have to worry about keyboard warriors. If you're looking for a place to talk hockey, you've found it.

----------------------------------------

Two weeks ago during the Maple Leafs' disastrous FanFest, I took a tour of their locker room (after a 60 minute line-up) and found this hanging on the wall.
Of course I was the only guy there who was interested in it, but I knew you guys would be too. It's nothing revealing, but here it's cool to see the official memos that the teams get regarding how uniforms need to be worn.

For those that are not aware, the picture used is one of Sidney Crosby which was taken just prior to the 2007 All-Star Game in Dallas. Reebok used it to reveal the new Edge jerseys. It has since become the blank player model for items like this and for teams to use on their official jersey sheets to Reebok. You can also find our version on the TEMPLATES page for your concepts.

After forgetting to post last week's COTW nominees and banner, I now know the embarrassment one feels after forgetting to vote and receiving one of Caz's famous shame GIFs. We can avoid this feeling by voting and there's lots to vote for this week!

COTW Sept 8-14 vote (ends Friday @ 11:59pm Eastern)
COTW Sept 15-21 vote (ends Friday @ 11:59pm Eastern)
Disney Competition Top 5 vote (ends Friday @ 11:59pm Eastern)
