Saturday's Post 

Lots to talk about today, starting with Flint, Michigan, where we will not be seeing the Tropics, rather the Firebirds, and like I said last week, I'm split!

First, the logo

Looking at it, this could be from any sport if not for the hockey puck around the tail, and really reflects how a lot of minor league teams in all sports redesign now, with lots of bold colours, a unique font and such. The colour scheme looks great, and the bird itself is nice too, though I couldn't really figure out the heck at first. I did really want the Tropics to come back, but so long as the jerseys are good then this could be a good substitute. 

Oh....what's that? The Firebirds will be wearing Turdburger templates.......

Okay, there don't look too bad, honestly. The orange kind of looks like the curve of the wings, and the two tone socks don't look half bad. Until I see the back, I won't say this is a bad jersey, but as is, this is a unique jersey, (yes I am saying this) improves on both the template and is better than Plymouth's current blue jersey

Logo: 7/10

Jersey 7.25/10

I still think Tropics would have been better, but this is the route they've choses, and it could have been a lot worse.

NCAA Big Chill Concept (By: Christian C.)

+ Here we have two teams that may never change the core of their looks, but these nice modern jerseys compliment the classic logos
+ The shoulders are perfect, Michigan should reference their classic football helmets, while Michigan State goes for a tapered armband
+ The other striping is simple enough
+ Great execution 

- Wolverines' numbers are a bit too thin, and would match the M better if they were bigger
- Namebar on the Spartans jersey is too low on the body
- Captains' Cs are too small

Rating: 8.5/10

Minnesota Wild Concept (By: Jarrett T.)

+ Wild could update their red jersey to at least have a hem stripe, this wouldn't be a bad substitution
+ Keeping the Green alternate striping is a good move, now the stripes actually stand out
+ I like the lack of yellow
+ Good execution 

- Shoulder patch is way too big and I'd have it one both shoulders
- Never been a fan of Minnesota's font
- Logo is pixelated

Surrey Eagles BCHL Concepts (By: Brooks F.)

+ Surrey + Excessive arm stripes=  amazing
+ Jersey doesn't look overcrowded, but still has a lot going on
+ Good logo choices, eagle head looks great
+ Execution is good minus a few problems 

- Pants need some white
- Remember that stitching stops at the hem
- Using a square yoke shape would make the jersey look more uniform
- Logo is too far down on the jersey '

Rating: 7.75/10

Arizona Coyotes Concept (By: Brandon C.)

+ The black is big and bold, sticks out very well

+ Classic striping that would work with any team, but looks great with the logo

+ Good job using all the secondary logos!

+ Great execution

+ Beige & Brick look great together 

- I know it's been said with every concept Brandon has sent in, but don't forget to ID them (I know Brando is IDing future concepts but just a reminder for everyone

- The 'yotes's current font is pretty cool, and putting a double outline on that font would look more traditional, but still keep that Desert personality

Seattle Thunderbirds WHL Concepts (By: Brandon C.)

+ Seattle has decent jerseys, but wear Whalers' edge jerseys, something more original would be better while still keeping the same feel

+ The jerseys are like blend of the 80's Northstars and current Stas jerseys, which are a nice mix

+ Colours are relatively balanced well

- Blank pants are boring, even a simple stripe or logo would fix that

-  More green would be better than silver, and darkening the green would look great too

- Remember to ID

Rating: 8.25/10

South Carolina University Gamecocks NCAA Concept (By: Kevin B.)

+ Nice modern design that is like a different take on the Wings

+ The crossed SC looks better as a primary than the screaming rooster 

+ Colours are balanced well minus a couple points 

+ Gear looks great

- Desperately needs a shoulder patch 

- The black number and red logo clash and would look better if they matched 

- TV numbers and C are too small
