Tuesday: Not a Florida Panthers Review

Hi everybody. Welcome back. As we all know, the Penguins are 1 win away from winning another cup. Also, the Panthers got slew of new logos, wordmarks, and Jerseys. Since everybody else will most likely write a whole story on the jerseys and logos, I will be brief. The Panthers needed to at least an update of their previous logo, but I think that the new logo looks pretty good. Sure, it has a car badge look to it but it looks good none the less. As for the jerseys, I actually like the TV numbers on the shoulders and the subtle hints to the State of Florida. Also, that waist stripe actually looks really nice even though it doesn't go all the way around. Overall, I'd give it a 8/10.

Unfortunately, we have no new Logos so let's get to the concepts!

Fernando Moreno- Brampton Thunder

Positives: The unique striping works really well on this jersey set. It's not awkward but at the same time it's not busy or distracting either. Also, the presentation of it is really nice.

Negatives: The TV numbers on the white jersey look kind of thin. That's not a bad thing, it would just be hard to see them from a distance.

Overall: 8.75/10

 Jay Schreyer- Alaska Aces

Positives: The presentation turned out really well on this concept. Also, using the type for the Captain and Alternate patches was a good choice, and all the striping on the jerseys looks well.

Negatives: I'm not sure if you forgot to change the color in between the striping on the hem and arms of the black jersey but it doesn't look cohesive with the white jersey. Also, I see some grey in the blue gloves.

Overall: 7.5/10

Jay Schreyer- Cleveland Browns

Positives: While I am a Pittsburgher and am raised to have a hatred for all things Cleveland, I will not be subjective to your concept. The striping you put on this is really nice and that added little striping on the yoke gives it that little bit more to make it interesting.

Negatives: The Browns have a new Bulldog logo and I think that, while this fits well, it would be nice to see the new logo with "CLEVELAND" above it and a drop shadow on the numbers.

Overall: 8/10 

                  John Elberton- Might Ducks of Anaheim

Positives: These jerseys we're very underrated for their time and you giving them the modern tradition touch was a really good decision. That yoke is just beautiful on this as well as the striping all around.

Negatives: If you are making it a heritage jersey then it would be nice to see the traditional block numbers on the jersey as well. For some reason the current numbers don't really work well for me.

Overall: 9/10 COTW NOMINEE

        Jordan Roberts- Arizona Coyotes

Positives: Beautiful presentation as always Jordan. The Alternate jersey is really nice, as well as that slight modification to the current jerseys they have. Also, excellent call bringing back the old Yotes jersey.

Negatives: you had that curved execution issue on the alternate jersey's hem but it's not really a big deal. My main issue is that I wish you would have done more to the primary jerseys.

Overall: 8.5/10

           Jordan Roberts- Winnipeg Jets

Positives: Those hem stripes on the primary jerseys look killer. Also, that alternate in general is just a great jersey.

Negatives: Moving down the stripes on the primary set wasn't the best call. Also, I understand the Military tribute But I believe Canada forbids any non military from wearing the official camouflage. Also, your numbers are slightly off angled from the jersey on the sleeves.

Overall: 8/10

         Josiah Bosch- Winter Classic

Positives: I went to the classic in 2011 when these two played at Heinz Field and I believe that Washington was the better dressed team and I say the same for this now. While I like the striping of the first Winter classic jersey for the Penguins, the Capitals have the better Mashup.

Negatives: The Dark and Light blue's time in Pittsburgh has passed and most people are tired of it so I would suggest limiting it on your concept.

Overall: 8.25/10

         Lucas Daitchman- Toronto Maple Leafs

Positives: I'm really liking this template you guys are using recently. Any chance you guys could send it to me or give me a link? Anyways, I like just about everything on this concept. The double striping on the sleeve looks fantastic and this doesn't stray away too much from past designs.

Negatives: Make the hem stripe the same as the sleeves please.

Overall: 8.75/10

          Ryan Christensen- Charlotte Checkers

Positives: Those Goalie pads are just awesome on this as well as the goalie mask. As for the jersey, I really like that you added a sublimated checkered pattern to the jersey and made the sleeve striping simple but effective.

Negatives: Putting the primary logo o the shoulders is overkill. Put the Hurricanes logo or the Checkers alt logo.

Overall: 9/10

          Ryan Christensen- London Knights

Positives: with a team that has a long history such as the Knights, it's nice to see the classic logo they used as the primary a few years ago back on this concept. The regular white is also nice.

Negatives: Recolor the logo with the traditional white.

Overall: 8.75/10

             Ti Nick- Colorado Avalanche

Positives: Both the primary and alternate jersey are awesome looking. It really gives the Av's a classic look with a modern color scheme. Also, the striping looks really good on both jerseys.

Negatives: Please make your ID a little bigger. It's shows how proud you are of your work through the ID you put.

Overall: 8.5/10

        Tyler Meli-Skewis - Ottawa 67's.

Positives: : Good choice going with the senators alternate jersey design for the primary jerseys. Also, the diagonal stripe on the red jersey looks really good.

Negatives: It would be nice to see the 67's other logos on the shoulders. Also, it's hard to read those red numbers on the black jersey.

Overall: 7.5/10
