Saturday: The Season Week 2
The winner of the COTW-October vote was Avi's Ottawa Senators concept!
Wouldn't you know it, a competition entry wins a monthly COTW. This is a great entry that continues a great 2nd half of 2016 for Avi. These Sens jerseys will be back in January for the final Quarterly Vote.
The winner of the COTW vote for November 4-10 was Taylor R.
Taylor's Vancouver Giants concept came out on top of this head-to-head vote. It's a very solid concept and there was even a comment when it was posted that these jerseys would entice that person to go back to Giants games.
The new COTW nominees have been listed on the side of the page in the black poll. Brooks F. will be our winner this week, but which of his concepts will be moving on. That's for everyone logged into a Google account to decide. Votes will be counted up until Friday at noon Eastern.
There were 3 entries that came in after the deadline for the Washington Capitals ReDesign. However, we are looking for more concepts right now on the blog, so there's no reason to turn these people away.
That gives us 17 entries into this competition and now it is time to vote. This will be a Top 5 vote. You can vote by clicking the banner at the top of the page or by going to the COMPETITION tab. Votes will be counted up until Friday at noon Eastern.
Standings after Week 1
You will always be able to find the previous week's scores and up to date standings on THE SEASON page, which you can get to by clicking the S icon on the side of the blog.
On Tuesday, HJC will turn 7 years old. That's 7 full years of posts nearly everyday. As I do with these type of occasions, I thank you the readers. The posts, the concepts, the competitions, it's all done for you guys and because of you guys. Sometimes the drive to create new content for the blog hasn't been there, but the expectation that you guys have for new content wills me forward. So thank you everyone very, very much!
That's it for me this week. I've got a busy weekend ahead of me.Unfortunately nothing hockey related. I'm even going to miss the Leafs game on Saturday because I'll be at WWE NXT. Then Sunday is the Toronto Santa Claus parade. My kids are the perfect age for Christmas, so I've been in full Christmas mode for the past week.
Enjoy your week and talk to everyone next Saturday!

Let's take a look at the scores from Week 1.
Home or road didn't seem to make too much difference this week as home teams went 5-4. I was surprised to see that the question mark standing in for the Capitals got more votes than two other teams! I have found a replacement for the replacement for the Capitals. You will begin to see their concepts in Week 3.Standings after Week 1

Am I the only one here who would like to see the COTYs ranked every year for HJC's birthday?
