The winner of the COTW for July 14-20 is Anthony C!
This is Anthony's 3rd COTW win of the year and they all have come since the end of May. At this rate he could have another 3 or 4 by the time the year's out. Congrats Anthony and we'll see this USA concept again for the COTW-July vote.
The new COTW nominees for the week of July 21-27 have been listed on the side of the page. If you are logged into a Google account you will be able to place your vote up until Friday at noon Eastern time. Good luck to everyone!
Some of you might be thinking, "Finally! The HJC Open is over." Indeed it is, and now it's time to start a new competition. The Hockey Card Competition. Simply create your own hockey card. It can be any player and any league. Click the banner at the top of the page or go to the COMPETITION tab. You have two weeks to design this so GET CREATIVE. If you think you are done then sit on it for 24 hours. Then go back and see if you are still pleased with your product. If you are then send 'er in!
It seems that we have reached the depths of the off-season. My Twitter feed has gone quiet with legit hockey news. No Bob McKenzie, or Darren Dreger, or Pierre LeBrun. I don't bother to follow anyone from Sportsnet because they're all second rate anyways. But once we get into September we'll start seeing rookie camps and we'll begin to see some Adidas jerseys actually on the ice.

Jake has a chance to do what has only been done once before. That is to win the HJC Open and COTY in the same year. That last to do it was Justin C. in 2012. Jake has a concept that won the 1st Quarter Vote and is in the 2017 COTY Semi-Finals.
