Weekend Update (Jan 6)
The winner of the December 10-16 COTW vote is E.Awad with his Lokomotiv concepts.
The winner of the December 17-23 COTW vote is Bastian with his Team Finland concepts.
Both of those concepts now move on to the COTY-December vote! You can see that banner on the side of the page (it's the white one). Click that banner or go to the COTY 2012 tab to see the entrants. Remember, the HJC Voting Committee has been dissolved so ANYONE can email their vote in.
The nominees for the January 1-6 COTW vote have been listed. Only 2 concepts were nominated and properly "seconded" this week, so I just entered all four concepts from the week that got a nomination. You can see those concepts by clicking the banner on the side of the page (black banner) or by going to the CONCEPT OF THE WEEK tab.
Some of you may have missed it on Tuesday, but I posted 3 new templates by Eric W.
Reebok (by Eric W.)
Nike (by Eric W.)
NHLshop (by Eric W.)
I like the NHLshop one so much that I am placing it on the TEMPLATES page. The other templates here, this will be your last chance to get them so click and save now.
Announced on Saturday, it's the Binghamton Senators Specialty Jersey Design Competition! Click the banner at the top of the page for all of the rules or go to the B-SENS COMP tab. The entry deadline is Friday, January 11 @ 11:59pm EST.
A new year means that I need new COTW and COTY logos. Here they are;
Speaking of logos, I thought it would be fun to take a walk down memory lane and review HJC's logo history.
1) HockeyLister.blogspot.ca
July 12, 2008 - Sept 29, 2009
This was my first blog. Originally the idea was to do fun top 5 and top 10 lists. However, soon I discovered jersey concepts and quickly the blog became a place where I could post my work. It's now been sitting dormant for over 3 years and has been flooded by spam left in the comments section.
2) HockeyJerseyConcepts.com (BETA)
October 4, 2009 to November 21, 2009
I realized that jersey concepts were what I wanted the content of my blog to be about. I also had dreams that perhaps one day I could run a blog where people would contribute their own concepts. Thus, I purchased the domain name "HockeyJerseyConcepts.com". I started a site using some free website creator. Soon I realized that a blog format was much more conducive to what I was trying to do. That's when I moved back to Blogger (Blogspot).
3) HockeyJerseyConcepts.com (version 2)
November 22, 2009 to November 21, 2010
This was the logo first used for the blog you are looking at today. This logo accompanied a very cluttered and very cookie cutter looking site. Not many people saw the blog when this logo reigned. If you did read HJC during this time then let everyone and myself know in the comments. Also, November 22, 2009 is the date I consider to be HJC's "birthday".
4) HockeyJerseyConcepts.com (version 3)
November 22, 2010 to December 31, 2011
This logo stuck around for longer than any of the other previous versions. It was during this time that the blog really started to grow and people started to read HJC. While this logo was in use, the first HJC ReDesigns began and the COTW was introduced. Let me know in the comments if this is when you started reading HJC.
5) HockeyJerseyConcepts.com (version 4)
January 1, 2012 to present
The current HJC logo was unveiled during a Live Blog conducted for the 2012 Winter Classic. The site as you see it today was revealed on that day. I have only done some very minor tweaks since. I don't like to change logos often and I would really like to keep this one around. Try to "build the brand". If it was during this time that you started reading HJC, again let me know in the comments.

I started reading after the newest logo was unveiled. I'd say maybe around February or so of last year. I've checked the website almost every day since then.
Feb 1st, 2010. I believe I had the first ever submission posted to HJC. http://www.hockeyjerseyconcepts.com/2010/02/new-leafs-avs-and-thrashers.html
@Glen: That's true!
Glen was the first person to submit their concepts to HJC.
I first noticed your site while searching for concept hockey jerseys back when logo #3 was in use, and only started checking in regularily when logo #4 was relatively new. Your site has really taken off since then, to the point where IMO has surpassed IceThetics in the jersey concepts department. Congrats on that feat. Nowadays I check your site on a daily basis.
I started reading HJC around September 2010, but I didn't send in my first concept until May 2011, and I didn't send in another concept until October 2011.
I'm proud to have been around long enough to remember when version 2 of the logo was used on the site!
I started sending in concepts in August, 2011. But I don't remember when I started reading the blog. It was a few months before I started sending things in...
looking at those logo gave me alot of memories I still remember my first Concept being on this site!

Binghamton Senators Specialty Jersey Design Competition! .... BRING IT ON!
I started reading HJC in June 2011.
I'm pretty sure I started reading HJC around December 2011. I think I sent in my first concept around late February or early March.
I started following the blog in August 2010, kinda stumbled in on it by accident and thought it was kinda cool to let people see others designs for teams. I know I have improved over time and haven't submitted any deisngs as of late, but I have some new stuff coming your way soon Ryan!
Everything gets posted in order. Also at this time I don't recall what you are talking about.
Send all the info again please. I'll see what I can do
