Happy 1001th post!

Sorry for the lateness of this post, I had a long day at work, and got in a bit of traffic on the way home.

Here's a link to the Weekend update.

On to the concepts:

Carolina Hurricanes Fix Concept (By: Brian B.)

The Hurricanes botched their new jerseys by making them too simple and removing character, Brian has made several concepts to correct that, all being good, and this one is no exception. Keeping the font is a good move, and using the alternate template also works well. I like the arched stripes and the hem flag. I would remove the black on the pants and maybe make the gloves all red. (8.5/10)

ERC Ingolstadt Concepts (By: Jake88)

Our Euro specialist Jake88 continues with the DEL concepts, for what I will call the frozen cougars. the Frozen Cougars logo is pretty sweet, since diamonds aren't usually used in sports minus baseball. The striping, similar to Tampa Bay's alternate is a nice pattern, and the demi yoke is a cool touch. I'm not huge on the piping, but it works, however, the monochromatic colour scheme doesn't, adding light blue would spruce things up. (7.5/10)

Iserlohn Roosters Concepts (By: Jake88)

Roosters..what a name! The logo is unique and Jake 88 keeps the numbers and logo the same. The Jets striping is a very good idea, and the font is a new idea that works for me. The canes yokes work well to cover the namebar, and the pants are all good. I would add a hem stripe but maybe not make it matching. (8.5/10)

Anaheim Ducks Concept (By: JC29)

Look in to it's eyes..or eye holes is the name I'll give this concept. The striping is nothing new, but the logo and recoloured anniversary logo are a ncie touch. Including the mask in the duck foot is not easy and looks good...for a t-shirt. Even as a shoulder patch this would look better, but the duck mask should be in full. (8/10)

Nashville Predators Concept (By: Mike S.)

As a guitar player of 10 years, I love the music city theme. The guitar string matches well, and they match the numbers well. I like the invisible yoke in this case, as does the tie down collar. I think piano striping might work on the jersey, and a little more yellow on the pants would balance out the striping a little more. (8/10)

2014 Heritage Classic Concept (By: Ryan H./HJC)

Our Admin  Ryan H. gives us a sleek Heritage Classic Concept for the two previous Canadian Stanley Cup Finalists. The Ottawa jersey uses 30'sy striping and subtle vintage white, both of which I like. The Vancouver jersey I like as well, as it combines the Millionaires with the early Canucks. I think I would like a 90's game more, but this is a great alternative, and excellently executed. (9/10)

Albany Devils Concepts (By: Scott D.)

The Devils Jr. like many AHL teams, are copy cats of their parent team. The duel palate string is awesome, and I like that it does take ideas from the NJ Devils, but isn't a down right copy. The white jersey should have black numbers to match the striping a little more, awesome concept. (9/10)

Nashville Predators Concepts (By: Stephen T.)

More from the Music City, Stephen brings back a re-coloured version of the previous logo. I like the striping, but the recoloured logo needs serious work. It looks too bright for the most part, and the white jersey needs a blue yoke. I would either use the new logo or the old, but combining both isn't really working for me. (6/10)

Kelowna Rockets Concepts (By: Ted N.)

Rocket Golden Seals...SOMEONE NEEDS TO DO THAT IDEA ASAP! Anyways, Brightening up the Rockets isn't a bad idea, as the name Kelowna is a very cheery name. The striping and new colour scheme are really imo, and the sun shoulder patch is an interesting idea. (8/10)

I'll give Ryan H. a COTW nom. I really like that Senators jersey, and the collar on the Vancouver jersey is very interesting. I appreciate that you brought some creative design elements to that Canucks jersey.
