Weekend Update (September 8)
What's going on everyone? Very exciting week this week. A lot of players are already participating in "informal skates" with their teams and training camps officially open up this week. Next week at this time I will be excited because the Leafs will be playing their first pre-season game!
Here are the last of the Ducks entries

The winner of the COTW vote for August 26 - September 1 was Tom!
Thank you to everyone who voted. This was the most voted on COTW since we went to an email voting format a year and a half ago.
With Tom's win, we now have our five August COTW winners. Meaning we can now go forward with the COTY-August vote. The entrants are listed on the side of the page in the red banner. You can email your vote in until the end of Friday.
The new COTW nominees have also been listed on the side of the page in the black banner. They are for the week of September 2-8. Anyone can email in their vote and voting ends when Friday ends.
Later tonight I hope to determine the new HJC Thursday writer. If you entered and are chosen, you will get an email from me tonight or tomorrow. If it's Tuesday and you haven't gotten an email from me it means you were not selected. The person selected will begin writing on Thursday, September 19.
Last month we had the Warrior Cup Challenge competition. HJC readers voted for the Top 3 entries and then I sent those entries to Brian Duffy. I sent the Top 3 concepts to Brian on August 18 and he has yet to get back to me with his choice for the winning entry. So, I will choose a winner from the Top 3. The Top 3 were Darren H, J3, and Matt Mc. The unofficial winner is...Matt Mc!
Unfortunately, your jerseys will not be made, as was the original prize listed. This is of course due to Brian not responding to HJC.
For the Anaheim Ducks competition I relaxed the size restriction to 2000 pixels, height and width. That will be the new size restriction, but only for competitions. Pleas keep within the 1200 pixels limitations for regular concepts.

I would have sent in my Nike NHL Ducks jerseys since they actually use that color scheme, but they aren't complete and aren't worth sending in yet.
