Hey everyone! What a week so far right? How about those Ducks throwbacks? Beautiful right? I don't know how many of you follow me on twitter (@dbrodesigns) but I mentioned that I would want to purchase a Reebok version of the jersey, but Ryan pointed out that only the "vintage" version by CCM is available. So I'm "boycotting" Reebok til they make a Edge cut of that jersey available.

But besides all that silliness, there are two votes and a competition going on here on the site

Missouri Mavericks (CHL) - Jets96

Jets gives us a concept from a league we don't see too often on the site. First off, i like the color scheme right off the bat. It's basically a San Jose Sharks scheme. I wouldn't mind seeing some orange. I feel like the arm stripes and the yoke are really close together but that's Nike's fault not Jets'. There's really nothing bad about this set. It's very simple and looks good. Maybe one thing I'd like to see different is the blue and black swapped on the white jerseys' striping.

Boston Bruins Concept - Ben S 

Ben provides us with two new jerseys for the Bruins which I'm assuming is a set since they look so similar, so I'll rate them as a set since they are two separate images. I like that the socks match the jerseys, something the current Bruins just can't figure out. I also like yellow as the base color for the dark jersey. Though you might need a black alternate so the team has a black jersey, I feel like that would be a hot topic if they dropped a black jersey completely. I'd like to see more yellow on the pants' striping and the yoke on the white jersey be black, either that or swap the yellow and black on the jersey's striping.  Also, put some sort of ID

Edmonton Oilers Concept - Jack H

Hmm, how many people would want to see the team go back to this scheme? I don't think it's a bad color scheme but I never was a big fan. This isn't a bad set though. If the team went back to something like this they would have to keep it classic like this, anything too crazy with these colors would look bad so I applaud your choice to keep things simple Jack. The one thing bothering me here is the collar colors. I like the white jersey's collar because it blends in with the yoke, but it sticks out on the dark jersey.

Buffalo Sabres Alternate Jersey - Jets96 

Jets takes the Buffaslug template and makes a new yellow jersey for the team. It's been said before and I'll say it again, "It's better than their new third". I feel like the white name on the back is hard to see. Nothing else to say about this really, it's just an old template with the colors moved around. It's interesting to see this template in mostly yellow though, I oddly like it.

San Jose Sharks Concept - Dylan W

Ahh, good ol' "Other Dylan". He normally turns in really good looking work and he doesn't disappoint here, oh wait the orange is gone, nevermind. I'm not really going to hate on these because there's no orange. Truth is, these look sharp, especially with the sharp lines going up the arms from the cuffs. I don't know how I feel about the black arms on a teal jersey. I feel like I'd almost rather see that swapped. Also orange. Orange Orange Orange.

University of Pittsburgh Panthers Concept (NCAA) - Mike S

Pretty straightforward design for a collegiate team. Just about exactly what I expect. Simple classic striping and a wordmark. I don't care for the angled drop shadow on the wordmark but that's not really Mike's fault, it's what he had to work with. I don't mind the numbers on the shoulders either. Pretty good looking jersey. I'd like to see a light version.

Czech Republic National Team Jerseys - Stephen T

Stephen brings the vertical stripes back to the arms of a national team. Not a great move in my eyes, vertical stripes are incredibly hard to make look good on a hockey jersey. I also don't care for the large blocks of color on the bottom of the jerseys. I get that it resembles their flag but it's just odd here. Also, name under number, while interesting, doesn't work here, and it's because of those color blocks. I do like the yoke though.

Washington Capitals Winter Classic Jersey - Brian B

Holy crap. If Carolina's red jersey didn't look exactly like this, I'd be in love. I mean, it's so clean and pretty and those stars. Truth be told, Carolina's red jersey has grown on me a little bit, though I still prefer their old ones. Carolina should ditch those so Washington can wear these. I do kinda want to see some blue on the jersey outside of the logo but I fear it might ruin the cleanliness of the jersey.
