Wednesday: I Didn't Forget About You

Hey HJCrs! I've been so busy these last few days with my current internship and some client work. Today has been especially hectic! What's that?.... of course I didn't JUST NOW remember to type today's post... a half hour before the post is to go live. You're crazy!

Speaking of crazy, we got a surprise logo reveal today! The Minnesota-Chicago Stadium Series game!

It's a bit of a departure from the last couple Stadium Series logos. Gone are the stadium lights and light royal blue. In is dark navy and green, and some trees! Of course the trees represent the Minnesota game. Perhaps the Colorado logo will feature some mountains, or perhaps yeti feet...

Arizona Coyotes Alternate Jersey Concept - Lucas D.

Lucas adds green to the Yotes' color scheme. I don't like it. It doesn't really fit in with the team's current brand. The Arizona outline behind the logo seems tacky too. It's not really part of the logo, it doesn't interact with it or anything. It's just kind of there. Outside of that, the striping is find and the number on the back is off center. I also have no idea what's going on with the TV numbers. The front of the jersey is fine. Doan's number is still 19. But you flipped the numbers on the back, so according to the back of Doan's arms... he's number 6L. I don't know why you even touched the TV numbers. They look the same when you flip the jersey...

Connecticut Whale (NWHL) Concept - Brooks F.

Brooks attempted a jersey set for the Connecticut NWHL team. Luckily... the team unveiled a new logo yesterday. So we don't have to see this thing anymore. But since it's used here I'll accept it for what it is. Very classy set here. Would have been nice to see more of this in the jerseys the NWHL actually picked from their jersey contest. I think the green jersey could use a tad more white. Perhaps make the area on the hem under the stripes white. Pretty good looking set overall though... Makes the logo look much better. Also... ID your concepts so we know who did it! Just because I don't see your actual name or some sort of ID on this... I'm going to assume it's McElroy's. Good job Matt.

Death Watch - Star Wars Series - Ryan G.

Alright here's where you find out that I know basically nothing about Star Wars. So I'm going to Google "Death Watch"... Ok yeah I can see how this jersey ties to that. I like the color scheme here. I'd prefer the lighter blue was a tad brighter, for contrast. Plus it would look hella cool. I think that the hem stripes should be thicker or the arm stripes should be thinner. The inconsistency bothers me. The pants are very interesting.

Valencia CF - LA Liga - Matt G.

Matt uses the vertical stripes found on Valencia's actual kits. It's an interesting look. I think it only works because of the logo... which could use a thicker outline on the black jersey. I think some people might not like it because it's different. But I like it... because it's different. I think it's a little unrealistic to have three different pairs of pants, so maybe ditch the stripes and use just the logo for the home and away pants. But it's a concept. I'll ignore it!
