Thursday: Northeastern Post

Hello everyone, welcome back!

No intro today, because there isn't really any news (to see the Flyers' recently unveiled Stadium Series jerseys check out this post or this post), but don't worry about the lack of writing this week, I have something planned for next week.

-------------------------

This week in voting we have the COTW like usual, the new usual of our Season vote, plus the COTW November vote, and the COTY logo vote. I'm running for the COTY logo, so you should go vote for me. Or vote for someone else. That's freedom for you.

COTW-November vote (ends Friday @ noon Eastern)
COTW Dec 2-8 vote (ends Friday @ noon Eastern)
COTY Logo vote (ends Friday @ noon Eastern)
The Season Week 5 voting (ends Friday @ noon Eastern)

-------------------------

Ben S. - Washington Capitals
+The weagle should definitely take a spot on the front of a jersey, and the shoulder patch is a good choice as well.
-But it may a bit redundant to have 2 logos with eagles.
-Not a big fan of the Washington script, though.
+The stars above the weagle look good.
+Solid striping pattern and fonts.
+Good color balance.

Overall: 8/10

David H. - Washington Capitals
+Navy as a base color works surprisingly well for the Caps.
+I love your use of white, it gives the blue jersey a lot of pop.
-The name should be white though, it gets lost a bit.
+Again, love the weagle on the front.
-But it a bit close to the C patch.
-Would like to see the equipment to the set too.

Overall: 9/10 and my COTW nomination

Lucas D. - Hartford Whalers

+This is an interesting design for sure.
+Good work making the numbers stand out on the chest stripe.
+Solid alternate.
+A wave design works well (at least in theory) for a team named the Whalers.
-But after seeing it...I'm not sure it's a great fit, that modern design with the classic logo.
+For what it is, I do like the connection made to the Whalers' past.
Overall: 8/10

Ryan C. - Grand Rapids Griffins
+Hard to go wrong with a more traditional look.
+Solid striping pattern.
-I think the outer and middle sets of stripes could use to be thicker, though, and the white and gray bleeds together a bit.
+Love that font. It fits perfectly.
+Pretty good color balance, but the white jersey could use a bit more red.
+Good logo choice.
Overall: 8.5/10

-------------------------

And that's all for this week. I hope you enjoyed the post, thanks for reading, and I'll see you all again next week!
