Monday: Good Bye Phoenix!
Hey guys, happy Monday and happy December! This is my favourite month of the year, for obvious reasons and theres hockey...well....sorta.
In awesome news, the Phoenix Coyotes are gone, and thank goodness. The name is synonymous with failure and bankruptcy. Hopefully the Arizona Coyotes will leave a better taste in fans' mouths and the NHL as a whole.
COTW is reset and now there are new concepts up for voting. Check them out and committee members are able to vote until Thursday, so lets get the votes in.
The NHL expansion contest has moved to its voting phase, thanks to everyone who entered. Committee members can vote until Friday and remember to send the votes to the contest email, not the regular one.
RECAP:
Finally, here's a link to the weekend update in case you missed it, it was posted rather late to do check it out to see whats what on the site.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Montreal Canadiens Concepts (By: Anthony C.)
What I Like: It is hard to make a good Habs concept, especially while being original. Anthony has done that, the home and away have minor changes and the 1st alternate is different and yet similar, the execution is good but what really shines is the 2nd alternate, I love it.
What I Don't Like: Lack of shoulder patches on alternates
Improvements: Add a shoulder patch (the leaf?) show off equipment. (8/10)
Euro Winter Classic Concepts (By: Stephen T.)
What I Like: The Idea alone is good. The blue concept is good for the most part and the striping on the white jersey (Sorry about the lack of names of the teams). The national flags on the shoulder patches
What I Don't Like: The logo on the white jersey is too big and the logo on the blue jersey is too small. The black pants with yellow helmet are kinda odd.
Improvements: Re size logos and make the pants on the blue jersey blue and helmet blue too. (6/10)
Anaheim Ducks Concepts (By: Me (Jets96)
I decided to star an NHL re-design, it is in progress right now, so enjoy the 1st half over the next little while. I basically wanted to make right Anaheim's jerseys, bring back the duck face mask and keep the duck's foot as a shoulder patch.
Vancouver Canucks Concepts (By: Casey R.)
What I Like: The overall designs of all 3 jerseys. The Johnny Canuck logo is good for a 3rd jersey and all 3 jerseys have good striping.
What I Don't Like: The Blue on the all 3 jerseys don't match the jersey. The green numbers on the white jersey is not the best choice and the pants look swapped
Improvements: Make the blues all identical, switch the pants and use blue numbers on the white jersey (8/10)
Belleville Bulls Concepts (By: Me (Jets96)
I also am doing an OHL re-design, for what reason, I don't know, tis the season. I love the Belleville Bulls logos, all of them, but I deffinatley prefer the 80's logo (I know, shocker).
Vancouver Canucks Concepts (By: Scott D.)
What I Like: The Current numbers being used, that along with the darker blue gives a more modern look while being classic. The alternate is cool, as it looks very classy yet, not green. The subtle V's are also really cool.
What I don't like. The lack of blue on the away jersey.
Improvements: Swap the green and blue on the white jersey (9/10) COTW Nom. from me.
Winnipeg Jets Concept (By: D3troit 1388)
What I Like: The overall striping is great. The lack of polar blue works for an alternate, even though I like it. Red works well.
What I Don't Like: The Brown Pants! They aren't horrible, but man it doesn't fit well. Especially with the blue helmet and modern logo.
Improvements: Make the pants blue and add the script logo. (8.5/10)

You evil person... when I first saw the thread title, I thought that the franchise was moving shop somewhere else. Just changing the name doesn't change their unending record of failure. That team has never once turned a profit.
The Jets' Classic jerseys is very nicely done. Looks solid and clean. COTW nom from me!
Sorry Kevin, I wish I could make them go away completely and move them to Quebec, but I'm just a writer, not a mirical maker
miracle*
As you can tell I'm really not all that good of a speller
@ Kevin W: That's quite a unbelievable fact, considering that not even a trip to the WCF's could make them a profit.
