Monday: Lotso Concepts!
Happy, Happy, Happy, Monday, I'm almost done exams, and oh boy will this summer be great!
Jonathan Bernier is now a Leaf, FINALLY! I liked Scrivens and I'm sure he will be a great back-up in L.A., but Bernier will be a great co-starter with Reimer this coming year. I think this was a rather even trade for both teams, L.A. getting a solid defender and a good back up in return for giving up a possible starter, not to say Scrivens can't start. I'd make this trade any day of the week as both teams, and good G.M.ship on both ends.

Our first review of the day isn't a concept, but rather the HJC shirt I ordered. 40% off shirts this week until Thursday, just so you know. I ordered the est. in 2009 shirt, and looks great. I ordered it in
a colour I like to call HJC gray. The screening is done very well and I haven't had a problem yet with screening starting to break.
I'd recommend you spread the word about HJC and get a shirt, especially with this incredible sale ongoing now.
Pittsburgh Penguins Concepts (By: Tyler G.)
I'm not sure if this is supposed to be a set or two alternates but I like both jerseys. I prefer the white jersey's striping, and it looks amazing! I know the yoke is the Devils yoke, but still, it looks good. The black jersey looks good too, not a huge fan of the striping and would maybe, just maybe look better with the 90's script. The Robo-Pen needs to be used on the yokes as it was simply casted aside. (8/10)
Texas Stars Concepts (By: E.Awad)
The Stars currently have awesome new jerseys, with increased green and non-matching logos. That being said, I've always liked the Stars in black, and Texas should have a different look than the Stars, and while green is good, black is bold. I love the striping and balancing of the gold and black. The bottom stripe should be larger and the shoulder patch should be about 10% smaller. The white jersey should have a white helmet and the bottom Reebok Vector should be the Script. (7/10)
Calgary Flames De-Edge Concepts (By: Steven G.)
Steven has made plenty of good Flames concepts, and this one is no exception. The Flame yoke is brilliant, and the 90's colours are a perfect colour idea in my opinion. The cowboy hat shoulder patch is great, and I wish the horse head was wearing it....wow...there's an idea. I'm not sure I like the numbers and would prefer a classic block font. I'd also like some flames on the hem. (8.5/10)
Tampereen Tappara SM-Liiga Concepts (By: Jake88)
I love Euro concepts, and I think this concept is good, but could be more exciting. The jerseys are solid and classic, but, the white jersey should have blue stripes with orange exterior stripes. Orange pants would look good, but they look plain without stripes or a logo. a hem stripe or perhaps some ads. Overall, decent execution, but needs to be more interesting. (6/10)
Hearts FC Concepts (By: Jets96)
I do love soccer, and have made a few hockey, soccer crossover concepts. This one is for my favourite team, and is a basic crossover from the team's current kit.
Iowa Wild Concepts (By: Gerard M.)
Oh yeah, the Wild Jr., they sure do need something to make themselves unique... and this works. Good thing Gerard credits the logo, because the person who created this logo is great. The jerseys are good, and the alternate would work as an alternate. I would like a little more creativity in the jerseys, but that's minor since the Wild don't wear these jerseys anymore. (9/10)
Phoenix Coyotes Concepts (By: E.Awad)
The Yotes may be due for an update soon, and E.Awad gives them a classic new deserty look to usher in a new era ins Phoenix. The lack of white is good, Phoenix is one of the few teams that can pull of that idea since it's not vintage white but rather sand. The PHX shoulder patch is necessary, and the current Yotes font should be used. (8/10)
Chicago Blackhawks Concepts (By: Bobby P.)
The Home is nothing really special, but the road is an improvement balancing wise. The cuffs however should be red too because otherwise it looks too similar to the current away. Execution note, use only one shade of black to keep things uniform (7/10)
Nashville Predators Concepts (By: Gerard P.)
The Preds need a new template, and should bring back their older alternate, Gerard does both here. The new template seems very close to their original jerseys, but of course with necessary updates like the numbers and no triangles. The alternate is better with the solid checker stripes, but a blue helmet looks better and pants stripes would be better. (8.5/10)
Detroit Red Wings Concepts (By: Bobby P.)
Not much I can say about this one, generally the same as what they currently wear, good execution and I like the arched script. (7/10)
Portland Pirates Concepts (By: Jets96)
This is an update to my Portland Pirates Re-design in my AHL Re-design, any critique is good.
Montreal Canadiens Concepts (By: Gerard M.)
Gerard keeps things mostly the same with the Habs, but also taking into consideration Reebok's guidelines for next year. The straight stripes look better, and the alternate is something everyone wants to see, at least most people would. I know it's accurate to have two shade of blue, but The Habs would looks better with one shade of blue. (8/10)

Seattle Thunderbirds Concepts (By: Dylan W.)
The Thunderbirds currently wear good Whalers copies, and while they look amazing, but they could be more original in their look. Dylan take Whaler cues but doesn't use a direct Whalers look. The blue jersey looks amazing, and the green cuffs help balance the colours well. The white jersey should have blue cuffs and green stripes to help balance the colours better. I would like to see a shoulder patch and a green collar on the blue jersey. (8.5/10)Pittsburgh Penguins Concepts (By: Tyler G.)

SM-Liiga has two i's.
Is it just me or does the logo on Gerard's Iowa Wild concept look like the head of a pig?
Great eye Tyler!
That's a really awesome idea. Gerard's Iowa Wild concept for COTW!
I'll second Gerard's Wild concept. That logo tweak is really ever.
I love the "pig" head logo! Has Iowa written all over it. If you think about it, the logo could work for the MN Wild too because they are known in town as the ManBearPigs!
I'll third Gerard's Iowa Wild concept for COTW!
