The 2016 HJC Open is over and the winner is...

J3!!!!!!!

Here are the voting results from the Final vote:

Congrats to J3. You will receive an email from me soon, offering you your championship banner. Just so everyone knows, anyone who wins something from HJC that I have to ship to them, I ask if they are willing to provide a shipping address. Some people may not feel comfortable sending me their address. To date no one has refused, but the option is always given.

Would everyone kindly remove their hats, stand-up and join us in the banner raising ceremony for J3. His banner now joins the other championship banners that hang high from the rafters of HJC Arena.

Of course what would a HJC Open win be without having your name engraved onto the coveted HJC Concept Cup?

I also have to say congrats to Brooks F. for making it all the way to the final. Both Brooks and J3 proved that you have to submit consistently great concepts to win this tournament. You can't have an off round. Let's take a look at the final brackets.

Finally, a big thank you to everyone who participated in the tournament. The HJC Open and the Concept of the Year would be nothing without you guys caring and contributing concepts.

Lucas is one of HJC's most frequent contributors and is constantly in the COTW voting. So I was surprised to see that this is his first COTW win since February. Congrats Lucas.

The new COTW nominees for the week of July 22-28 have been listed on the side of the page in the black poll. If you can't see the poll that means you're not logged into a Google account. You should all know how to see the concepts by now. Voting will end on Friday at noon Eastern.

For some of you waiting for the HJC Open to finish must have felt like a year. Now is your time because a new HJC Competition has started! Introducing the 365 Club. You are tasked with creating jerseys for a NHL team that only lasted one season (in some cases two seasons). Click the bright purple banner at the top of the page or go to the 365 CLUB tab to get all of the rules and eligible teams. Entries are due Friday at noon Eastern.
