This was an incredibly close vote between both of Josiah's concepts. I was pulling for his Sharks concept to come through, but the new Falcons logo was too strong for the 90's theme. That win earns Josiah a spot in the 2nd Quarter Vote.

Ryan emerged from a heap of Jordan's concepts to earn this COTW victory. Ryan was the Concept of the Year winner for 2015 and surprisingly this is only his 2nd COTW win of 2016. Congrats Ryan.

Did you take up any of the writers' challenges this past week? I know a lot of people like to peruse the archives, so those challenges will be there to inspire some ideas in the future too.

Sounds like the Las Vegas franchise was ready to announce their name since day 1, but trademark issues have slowed the process. If they really want to be the Knights or the Black Knights, they will pay what they need to pay and get it done.

The Leafs jerseys still haven't grown on me after two weeks. In fact I may even have a lower opinion of them today.

Are the players REALLY going to be playing at 100% for the World Cup. Do you think Sid Crosby, Pat Kane, or Auston Matthews would really risk it all to win the unnamed World Cup of Hockey trophy? Me thinks not. We may have the same attitude towards the World Cup that we do towards the All-Star Game in 10 years.
