Saturday: I Owned April!
The winner of the COTW-April vote was Ryan H. (that's me. by the way)
Wow, I'm always surprised to win any vote past the weekly COTW. When you're in a monthly vote you're always in tough against the other concepts. Thanks for the votes everyone. I actually forgot to place my vote this week, so I appreciate everyone else covering for me. I'm excited to see how far this concept can go this year.
The winner of the COTW vote for April 28 - May 4 was Jordan R's Montreal Wanderers set!
All of these old NHL team concepts from Jordan that were posted are fantastic. It's nice to see one of them get rewarded with a weekly win. Now let's see how far this one can go the rest of the way. Good luck Jordan!
The winner of The Random Competition was Brendan P!
This win may be the most high profile win in Washington Capitals history! Ouch, zing! Too soon? Anyways, with the win Brendan's concept moves into this week's COTW vote!
The new COTW nominees have been listed on the side of the page in the black poll. If you are logged into a Google account you will be able to see it. Your vote will be counted up until Friday at noon Eastern time.
A new competition has begun on HJC. This week we are running the HJC World Hockey Jersey Championship! Three divisions, which will result in three winners who will then come together to determine the World Hockey Jersey Champion! Click the banner at the top of the page for all of the rules or go to the COMPETITION tab.
Yesterday, there was a fantastic concept from former HJC writer Dylan N. posted.
I strongly encourage everyone to go check out the complete project on Behance. The project was Dylan's senior project and everything looks fantastic. Dylan has told me that this blog had an influence on his career choice and that is quite humbling. I wish much success to Dylan and I look forward to seeing his work in the NHL some day.

Wow Dylan N's work is incredible.
Dylan's work is quite extensive, from the rosters to the posters to pretty much everything. This is by far the most complicated work he has ever done.
