Thursday: A Simple Wave
Hey everybody, Tyler here on Thursday and I have concepts for you, but first I would like to give a brief review of the Sharks new wave of jerseys.
The Sharks new uniforms were unveiled this Tuesday and so far I have hear mixed things. Mostly negative, but I've heard some positive things. The jerseys definitely resemble their alternate jersey, which the Sharks fans seem to really like.
Well, they definitely are simpler. I don't like how one of the orange stripes was removed. It looks odd. I wish the stripes weren't removed from the hem, but I understand the reasoning behind removing them. Another thing that is gone is the yokes. I am indifferent toward them. I liked them, but they still look good without them. Overall, the changes are lateral too me. I guess we'll just have to get used to these. Anyway, we still have the Canadiens, a Sabres third, a Flames third, a new Wild road jersey, and new jerseys for the Stadium Series games. I'm looking forward to all of these and we'll see what Reebok comes up with. Anyway, let's get going with the concepts!

At the time of writing this, there weren't any Hawthorn PD Comp entries! Make sure you send in your entries before Friday @ 11:59pm Eastern! Anyway, on to the concepts!
Jake88 starts us off today with his first of two KHL concepts today. These seem to be blue and white Ducks jerseys but I like these. The collars are cool too. I don't have much to say here. Nice concept.

Buffalo Sabres (NHL in 2025) concept (By: Dylan W.)
Apparently, Dylan has started a "NHL in 2025" series and that sounds cool. On the blue jersey, I would get rid of the white on the cuffs and the white under the hem stripes. Anyway, I like the logo used here. The yoke on the white jersey is weird, I would just use a normal yoke like they use now. Good job and I can't wait to see the rest of the series.

San Francisco Bulls ECHL concept (By: Mike S.)
Our first of two straight ECHL concepts, Mike brings us the SF Bulls as part of his ECHL redesign. I'm not sure about the logo being a small patch like you would see on a soccer jersey. The striping all around is cool though, especially on the yokes. The Ducks font looks great for what looks like a Ducks jersey. Great series so far, love this.

Evansville IceMen ECHL concept (By: HockeyConceptIdeas)
Two straight ECHL concepts! Anyway, this is HockeyConceptIdeas' concept for the IceMen. The IceMen currently wear Penguins 2011 Winter Classic jerseys. These appear to be based off of Lightning jerseys. First off, I recommend using actual templates for concepts instead of just using the jerseys from nhluniforms.com. I'm sorry, but I just don't like these at all. The jerseys seem too empty, the colored namebars are pointless and that "NAPA" jersey is just a CBJ alternate jersey with a really big NAPA logo on it. It's time to go back to the drawing board on these.

Fleet Arkhangelsk KHL expansion concept (By: Jake88)
Our second of two KHL concepts today, Jake88 expands the KHL with this. I really like the jerseys, it's almost like a cool mix of the Lightning alternate jerseys and the Blue Jackets colors. It fits great in the KHL. That logo is awesome too, I love when people take time to design new logos to go along with their concepts, I'm trying to get more into logo design as well. Awesome job here.
Rating: 9/10 and a COTW nom from me
Minnesota Wild concept (By: Darren H.)
Our final concept of the day, and hey, it's an NHL concept! The Wild are releasing new road jerseys anytime soon, and I honestly think it's time for a whole new set, not just a new road jersey. These are awesome. The striping is simple, yet effective. I'm not sure about the yellow/gold being used, but it looks good. I wish there was some yellow/gold on the home font, between the red and white. Awesome concept.

Thanks for reading, have a good Friday everyone!
