Dylan's Kings concept now joins the other COTW winners from May. They will square off against each other in the COTY-May vote. Those concepts are listed on the side of the page (red banner). Click that banner to see the concepts or go to the COTY 2013 tab. Votes are due on Friday. Winner moves on to the 2nd Quarter Vote!

--------------------------------------------------------------

The COTW nominees for the week of June 3-9 have been listed. That is the black banner on the side of the page. You can click that banner to see the nominees or you can go to the CONCEPT OF THE WEEK tab. Cast your vote along with your COTY-May vote before the end of Friday.

Here's the last entry in the "Untouchables" competition.
Glen

Sorry this was posted late Glen. For some reason it went into the SPAM folder.

--------------------------------------------------------------

The "Untouchables" - Toronto Maple Leafs competition entry phase has now ended. You can begin to vote and as always it's a Top 5 vote format here. Click the banner at the top of the page or go to the UNTOUCHABLES tab. I felt that this was the hardest team to change up. I say this because I found that most of the entries were based on what they already wear/ have already worn. Not may were NEW uniforms. Just an observation.

--------------------------------------------------------------

The next HJC competition will be a logo competition. Click here to get a run down of the competition and so you can get a head start. DO NOT send in your entries yet as the entry phase has not begun!

I am currently working on a project revolving around the "Reebok Authentic Jersey Template" (found on the TEMPLATES page).
It will involve several folders with each folder divided into pieces of the jersey. Folders such as cuffs, collars, arm stitching, etc. It will kind of be like a drag-and-drop make your own stitching template.
Imagine having all of the above possibilities plus any modifications and customizations you would ever want to make. This will work at first for Paint.net users. Then I will make it compatible for Photoshop users. It will work in layers, so if you don't currently work in layers and want to use this I would suggest learning now (it's not hard). The template may be done by the time of next week's Weekend Update post.

We now know that the Bruins will play the Blackhawks in this year's Stanley Cup Final. For the past couple of years I have put together a graphic to show what Game 1 of the Final would look like in 10 year increments. Here is the 2013 version. It's long because these are Original Six teams.
Images from NHLuniforms.com
My favourite looking year would have to be this year or 1963.

--------------------------------------------------------------

With the release of new jerseys that feature new numbers I knew it would only be a matter of time before someone created the number sets for us here on HJC. Scott M. was that person.

And because choice is good, Matt M. also created a number set for the Stars.

No.

I suggest learning paint.net

I did. It's an easier transition.

Ha! Knew it the timer was for the 2013 HJC Open!!! Too bad I won't be able to be part of it this year: I was going to go for a hat trick at losing in final! ;-)

That Reebok template project is awesome. Since I always use Paint.net, I'm very excited about it.
