Sunday: Going with the Flow!

Afternoon All! Welcome back to HJC! I don't have any news being that it's all been covered so let's get write to it

vote- We have the normal COTW, and the new Arena Logo Competition going on right now so get busy.

COTW vote Sept 1-7 (ends Friday @ noon EST)
Stadium Logo Competition (due Sept 22 @ noon EST)

Alright let's do this!

Adam G- Minnesota Wild
Positives: The two color chest and arm stripe was a good choice on the jersey with a two tone scheme. Also, the roundel logos look nice on the shoulders.
Negatives: I get that you want to make the red and yellow more prominent but with the wheat and green having both of those colors really complicate the color combination and it really brings this whole jersey set down.
Overall: 6.75/10

 Anthony C- Erie Otters
Positives: A lot to like about this. The yellow with blue arms looks really good. The striping on the arms is simple but effective. And the blue pants with the yellow stripe just pulls all of this together.
Negatives: My only gripe about this is the hem and sock striping. It looks too thin to be noticed.
Overall: 8.75/10 COTW NOMINEE!

Anthony C- Windsor Spitfires
Positives: This reminds me of the Penguins' pre-edge jersey template a lot but it really works in this situation. it's a very simple design but, done right, can be effective and I think you did it right here.
Negatives: While the jersey itself looks good, the socks just aren't working very well with the design.
Overall: 8/10

Brooks F- Minnesota North Stars
Positives: Ah how I missed you unique striping concepts Brooks. What works well for this is that the sleeve design works perfectly. Also, the white jersey has the color combination down perfectly.
Negatives: The color choices of the dark jersey is what brings it down. The black feels forced instead of being a part of the concept. Also, the arrow striping on the sides of the jerseys are a bit much.
Overall: 7.5/10

TC M- USF Bulls
Positives: We've seen what the actual USF hockey team wears and I must say that these jersey could go toe to toe in design. The contrasting ends of the sleeves and hems look really good with that splash of gold striping. Also, the collars actually work really well on both jerseys.
Negatives: You would have received more style points from me (and, most likely, the USF IceBulls) if you used the hockey team's actual logo on the sleeves because they can only use the USF script and the bull horned U logo. Also, either get rid of the thin gold stripe with the thicker gold stripe or make it slightly thicker. It's just really awkward looking.
Overall: 8/10

TC M- Villanova Wildcats
Positives: This jersey design plays really well into the identity of Villanova itself. The simple striping on both jerseys work really well with the "VILLANOVA script and V" logo on the front of the jerseys.
Negatives: If you were going to do numbers that looked like the V logo then do it on both jerseys.
Overall: 8.25/10

That's all I got for you guys. Have a good rest of the week and I'll see you guys next week!
