Sunday: Another Ticket Punched

Good afternoon everyone. Steve back for another great Sunday post (okay, it's just mediocre). We have three concepts today but before we get to that, let's recap.

I hope you guys liked my story on Georgia Tech hockey. Thank you again to Caleb and the entire team. It was my pleasure to write about you and best of luck to you guys next season! Also, don't forget that they're still selling those jerseys.

Congrats to the Jets and Sharks making it to the second round. It'll be a good to see how all the second round goes down. Speaking of hockey teams, Don't forget that we have our competition going on right now. Remember, you could have your design done on the Adizero template! Finally, don't forget to vote for the COTW.

COTW April 13-19 vote (ends Friday @ noon ET)
St. Andrew's College jersey entries (due Friday @ noon ET)

Adam G- Philadelphia Flyers
Positives: I really like that you went and made the design all about the sleeves instead of trying to mash the design onto the hem as well. Also, the thin striping , intentional or not, is a nice nod to the logo and does look a bit like wings. Finally, The black jersey looks great overall due to it being a little more simple but using the same design.
Negatives: The numbers on the back could be slightly bigger. Other than that I feel that, while it is nice seeing color on the hem, you could've done more with it.
Overall: 7.5/10

Adam G- Pittsburgh Penguins
Positives: It's nice to see the penguins logo used on the template of the original jerseys. The multiple thin stripe has always been an eye catcher to me and I think the penguin on the front adds to it.
Negatives: A few things. Please use dark numbers on the yellow jersey. from a distance you wouldn't be able to see those because of how thin that navy outline on the numbers are. Finally, this is something that has been done in one way or another before so push the limits of it further.
Overall: 7/10
Kalin S- Edmonton Oilers
Positives: I've never really seen a design this simple done for the Oilers and, I must say, this could be something that would work well for a stadium series game. The tree stripes on the jersey look great with the logo at center and the white numbers.
Negatives: The Navy and Bronze coloring never really worked well for the oilers, no matter how hard they tried. This design would be improved a bit if you added the current orange and made the back numbers the correct size as they look really long on the back.
Overall: 7.75/10

I don't have a COTW winner here. You guys can choose for me. That's all I have this week. I hope you guys have a good rest of the week and i'll see you this time next week!

Kalin’s Oilers for COTW.

I'll go with Adam G's Flyers concept for COTW. The black third is, in my opinion, even better than the Stadium Series jersey.
