Sunday: Where Did All the Time Go?

Hi everybody. Steve here with another Sunday Post. It blows my mind that we're already in November of 2018 because it only feels like yesterday that we were talking about the All Star Jerseys. Any who, good looking concepts to everybody who sent them in for the 90's competition. Also, apologies on the Podcast not coming out this past week. Multiple issues arose and we felt that we wouldn't be up to our standards to try and throw something together.

Burkus C- Minnesota Golden Gophers

Positives: Minnesota's current uniform set is really something else so having everything in it's proper place on the main jerseys is a sigh of relief compared to what they use now. For the main set, The use of a square yoke on both jerseys was a nice choice as well as including accent striping that matches the striping on the jerseys. Also, the gopher patch looks great on the shoulders. As for the yellow jersey, I like that it's a yellow and red with minimal white.
Negatives: Really not digging the yellow pants. They could work for the alternate but that's a stretch. as for the alternate, I get that you wanted to do a chest stripe but, with the yellow and white "M", it really get's lost on the yellow jersey with the red stripe.
Overall: 8.5/10

Burkus C- Notre Dame Fighting Irish 

Positives: Notre Dame is a "Keep it simple, stupid" type team. They refuse to really deviate away from their look and this fits well with something that they would wear. While I'm not a big fan of moving away from the block "NOTRE DAME" on the front of the jersey, the logos work really well on the fronts and compliment the overall striping. As for the alternate, I love the more script style "Interlocking ND" on the front of the jersey with the navy yoke.
Negatives: My main negative with the main set is how similar it is to every other jersey that Notre Dame has worn in the past, with the exception of the front of the jersey. Go with something more bold, but well fitting to Notre dame. As for the Alternate, I would love to see this be a green jersey instead of a white one. Also, the green shamrocks feel really out of place on the jersey, as well as those numbers. I would suggest using a number set similar to what the Men's Club team uses for their navy jerseys.
Overall: 8.25/10

Truman K- San Jose Sharks

Positives: Being that both jerseys are fairly similar, I'll group them into one. What really sticks out is the more prominent use of orange in the striping with the black and teal as the accents. San Jose has always been afraid to pump up the Orange so this is something that could actually work for them. Also, You made this work really well on the Nike template. That's not an easy thing to do. Finally, I love the "Tiburon" logo on the front instead of the normal logo.
Negatives: For once, I think that you could go without the yoke on the white jersey. Also, get rid of the orange behind the fin logo on the shoulders. It would look much better as the original colors (although modified to the current color scheme".
Overall: 9/10 COTW NOMINEE!
