Thursday: More Concepts!

Hello everybody. Today is Thursday and that means more concepts. It's the off-season so the NHL news is getting pretty slow. I feel the new Sabres jersey could be really good or really bad, and from what I've seen so far, I feel it's not going to be too great. Either way, I'm excited to see it. Anyway, we have concepts to get too, so let's get going.

Chicago Blackhawks concept (By: Felix T.)

Felix starts us off with his first of two Nike NHL concepts today. I notice two changes. The hem stripe becomes the same as the arm stripes, and there is a black stripe on the yokes. I don't know why the black stripe is there, and I don't really like it. Other then that, this is what I would expect from a Nike Blackhawks jersey.

Dallas Stars concept (By: Ian V.)

Ian redesigns the Stars new uniforms with diagonal stripes on the arms. I have to say, I like the new striping, it reminds me of the old "Star" uniforms and it gives the Stars some of an identity rather then just a green Blackhawks jersey. I really like the black alternate too. Awesome job here.

New York Stadium Series (NJ/NYI/NYR) concept (By: Justin S.)

The Islanders and Devils will both be playing the Rangers at Yankee Stadium next year and we will probably see new uniforms for the two games. I really like all three jerseys. I wouldn't mind seeing any of these. I'm glad to see the Lady Liberty jersey come back too.

2015 All-Star Game concept (By: Tristan M.)

There won't be an All-Star game this year but there will next year, and I think it's the perfect chance for the NHL to roll out new jerseys for the game. Something like this would awesome. Not too weird like the previous ones but still have a unique element to them. I love the chest stripe with the NHL logo and the number. The stars on the hem are cool, too. There is nothing here I don't really like. Awesome job.

Hartford Whalers concept (By: Michael)

Michael creates new jerseys for the now-defunct Hartford Whalers and the colors are now Green and Yellow instead of Green and Blue. Not sure about that change, but it doesn't look too bad. I like the new striping. One thing I don't like is the New England Whalers shoulder patch. Other then that, I like it. Nice job.

Buffalo Sabres new jersey guess (By: Brian B.)

I mentioned the Sabres new jersey coming out soon and Brian gives us his guess here. I'm not sure about the "gold on the front, blue on the back" thing, but I actually sort of like it here. I'm sure the Sabres could do much better then what we've seen so far, and I hope this jersey comes out something like this.

Edmonton Oilers concept (By: Steven G.)

Steven continues his NHL "De-Edge" series with the Oilers of Edmonton. I really like these. Very smooth and classic striping. The oil drop on the arms is a very nice touch. I wouldn't mind seeing these in the Oilers future at all, even if it is on an Edge jersey. Awesome job here, and a great series so far.

HC Dynamo Moscow KHL concept (By: Frank C.)

A KHL concept! We haven't seen many of these since the "L-word". I love the striping and the font looks cool too. Some very classic sweaters here. Also, props for actually putting ads on the jerseys for realistic purposes. Awesome jerseys here.

Carolina Hurricanes concept (By: Tyler G. / Myself)

I actually am one of the few that liked the Hurricanes new uniforms, but they just needed something more, the hurricane flag stripes. I brought them back and I really like how these turned out. Feel free to give me any feedback you want.

Ottawa Senators concept (By: Felix T.)

Felix started us off today and he will finish us off today as well. There are a few things I don't like here. First of all, I don't like the vertical piping, it doesn't look good. Also, the "O's" on the hem striping just seem to be there for the sake of being there. The black yoke outline is the same thing, it's seems like it's there just to fill in that area. Just stick with the striping and remove the "O's" in the hem stripes. Other then those things, this has a lot of potential, I love that logo as well.
