Sunday: It's All Fun and Games Until You Lose the Bet

Hi everybody. Welcome back to HJC. As our Friday reader briefly mentioned, TC and I had a bet going on the Rangers/Penguins game and the Rangers came out on top. That being said, I lost the bet and now I have to make good on my end and, asking any of the writers, they'll tell you that I have so congratulations to TC and his Rangers on winning.

Second, the ACHA Men's Championship are all over and I'd like to congratulate the Three teams that one nations this year:

D3: Hope College Flying Dutchmen of Holland, MI

As of the time typing this post the Women's Championships have yet to be played so best of luck Ladies and your teams will be recognized on next weeks post!

Alex W- Detroit Red Wings

Positives: Believe it or not I really like the wing design in the arms. Not just because it reminds me of a sweet soccer goalie kit, but because it looks like something Nike would actually do to the Red Wings. What is nice is that you kept the base design of the jerseys on it. What I mean is that you kept the red arms and single hem stripe on the jerseys.
Negatives: There are a few things that you need to correct here. The inside of the collar "should" be red. I say should because you don't have a special design on the inside so I'm assuming it's a design error. Also, we can see part of the inside of the sleeves, so you'd want to make this fit the sleeve color as well instead of going with white. Other than that it's really the template itself that brings the numbers and name bar down. It throws it all out of proportion.
Overall: 6.75/10

Positives: Compared to what the Golden Griffins wear now, this is a complete 180 from the traditional style that Canisius usually wears. This gives the team a more distinct look rather than a simple thick stripe with accent striping. While I'm not a fan of half sleeves, the Jets' style sleeve striping works well to break that up and the simplicity of hem doesn't cause the jersey to look over crowded or under done os good job on that.
Negatives: The sleeve striping itself is a little too thin for my liking and can be hard to see. Other than that I'd say that this design is a template style design and, yes I get you did it as a series, but it's just no sticking out to me more than what they currently wear.
Overall: 8.25/10

TC Moore- Delaware Blue Hens 

Positives: So TC is correct that Delaware hockey does wear Adidas as their hockey supplier, but just for there DI team who wears the Bruins temple in there colors but that's a story for another day. Getting back to the Design, I'm starting to see TC's fascination for half sleeve designs throughout his work and this design still reminds me a lot of the Penguins design. I do like htat you have that double white stripe design in the arms and hem that divide the sleeves. Also, the idea of having a throwback as a Alternate was a good idea.
Negatives: TC I feel that your color balance on the dark primary jersey is off. It just doesn't look as cohesive as it does with the white jersey. I'm thinking that it has to do with keeping the same stripe design on the dark and making the top half and the bottom hem the same color but it would've been nice to see it recolored so it had a a better balance. Also, those numbers on the throwback jersey just throw the whole design off. It's like you were going with a 70-80's style jersey but put late 90's-early 00's numbers on it and that just ruins the entire design.
Overall: 7.5/10
