Thursday: Rush Hour
Hello again everyone and welcome back to another Thursday post!
So I'm going to keep the intro short as I only have an hour to do this post because of a few things that have happened and have delayed my writing so let's get on with it now.
Only one vote this week and that's the usual COTW vote. Just click a few times and it's as simple as that. If you want to help the blog run the way it has for a long time (way longer before I began reading it even) then go do those few clicks and vote!

COTW Aug 23-29 vote (ends Friday @ 11:59pm Eastern)
Onto the concepts already!
Brooks F. - Chesapeake Icebreakers
+Very unique design
+Fits well for an ECHL Team
+The font works well with this concept
+I like the way the vertical stripe things form a nameplate at the top
+I think black equipment was a good choice here but it's debatable for purple as well
-I'm not digging the sock design. It might look better on the actual sock but I'm not liking the way it looks here. I would keep the stripe straight
-The Reebok logo on the purple jersey should be white
Overall: Solid design (8/10)
Taylor R. - Toronto Drakes Raptors
+Unique design that works well with their basketball identity
+I like the inclusion of the "motto tag" as I'll call it on the bottom of the jersey
+I like the way the font looks
-The pants design is exactly their new design, but I don't like it. I'd have gone with something that's more of a vertical flip of the design
-I see no need to use the virtually same logo on the shoulders, the one with the three claws and the basketball would work just fine
Overall: I know I didn't have too much to say on the good side but I still really like this concept (8.5/10)
Mike S. - New York Rangers
First off the file name for this concept says this is your simple series finale so congratulations on finishing it! It's very hard to complete a series, especially such a large one like an NHL redesign. I myself have been working on an NHL redesign series since the beginning of June and I've restarted the series twice (only losing one concept in the process though) and have only really done about 4/5 concepts in total. So it's tough to see it through. Anyways..
+As is the goal of this, this concept is very simple, and very good looking as well.
+I really like bringing the yoke stripes over the the blue jersey as well. Great design choice
+Keeping the same red pants is also a good choice
-Helmet and pants logos are missing
-The names on both jerseys look a bit blurry
Overall: Going out with a bang (9/10)
Dylan T. - New York Fishsticks Islanders
+FISHSTICKS
+Simple and solid design
+I like the use of teal sparingly
+I really like the font you used
-I like the font but I'm not sure I like it as much for the name. It's not too bad though
-The edge of the uniform on the background looks very pixelated
Overall: Solid uniform for the Fishsticks Islanders (8.5/10)
J3 - Colorado Avalanche
+I really like the new logos you designed
+Solid design thats reminiscent of a mountain, but not the same type of mountain design you usually see on Avs concepts
+I really like the victory stripe mountains
+I like the mountain numbers as well too
+I love the C that was made in the roundel logo
-I would make the hem and cuffs on the blue jersey in the maroon color, the jersey looks plain as it is like that
-I would make the Colorado flag C in the primary logo larger
-It's a shame to lose the Avalanche's amazing logo, but knowing Colorado, I wouldn't be surprised if it actually happened
Overall: Really great redesign for the Avalanche (8.5/10) and a COTW Nomination!
Well that's all for today guys. Keeping the outro short as well so I hope you enjoyed this post, thanks for reading, and I'll see you all again next week!
