2018 NHL Draft Hats Are Here!

We have our first glimpse of the 2018 NHL Draft Hats by Fanatics!

The base colour of each team's hat is either their primary or secondary colour. Most teams will wear their primary colour, but in the case of the two teams who met in the 2018 Stanley Cup Final their hat features their secondary colours.

Most hats use the primary crest on the front, except for Washington who continues using the Weagle (after using it on their championship gear too). Behind the logo is a pattern of dots, which unintentional or not, mimics the dimpled yokes of Adidas AdiZERO jerseys.

Fanatics brands the hats with their logo on the left side of the hat. It is a full back hat and the NHL shield occupies that space.

And yes, Ottawa is using their retro inspired O logo on their draft hat.

On the brim is the city and state or province of the team's home arena. This actually causes a hat to become a soon to be collector's item. The New York Islanders hat reads Brooklyn, NY, which they will be moving out of in four years.

Tell us what you think of this year's Draft Hats. What do you think of your team's hat? What do you think of the design as a whole? Share with us all in the comments below.
