Capitals 2018 Championship Gear!
On Thursday the Washington Capitals became the 2018 Stanley Cup Champions!
Every championship win is accompanied by new championship gear.
Let's start with the hat.
It's extremely similar to the Conference Champions hats, except the Cup version is grey and white. The round prior to this it was black and charcoal. The chapeau is a snap back, which goes with current trends. The back of the hat features a generic Stanley Cup Champions logo and the side is branded with the Fanatics logo. The front simply reads STANLEY CUP 2018 CHAMPS, with a Capitals logo in the middle.
There's also the official locker room tee.
The Fanatics branded tee is a heather charcoal colour. The generic Cup Champions logo is at the top of the shirt design surrounded by the year, 2018. Stanley Cup Champions is written across the front of the shirt. "CHAMPIONS" is in the Capitals' colours and the I is represented by a Stanley Cup graphic. Official Locker Room merchandise is also noted on the front of the shirt.
Over the last decade the Championship towel has become a piece or merch that the NHL has done a really good job promoting.
This is a 2-sided towel. One side of the towel is red with the Capitals' 2018 Champions logo. The second side receives the same treatment, but in white. Located at the end of the towel on both sides is a 2018 Stanley Cup Champions wordmark.
Interesting to note is the use of the secondary logo, the "Weagle", on the Stanley Cup Champions mark.
