Tuesday: Tuesday
Tuesday is a great day. Especially if you're a hungry Buffalo fan looking for any positive coming off of that terrible football game. Jack Eichel played great is his first NHL action. So at least we have that going for us, which is nice. So, I'm not going to do my standing predictions yet. I'm going to wait until I do my final ones. I'll just talk about my Sabres though. I truly think this team will compete around for a playoff spot for most of the season. I think they will be similar to Florida of last year. Always knocking on the door. Whether they make it or not, that will be decide later.

Kevin Owens (WWE) concept - Brian B.
I do not follow WWE anymore, I do not know who this guy is. The last time I followed WWE, the spirit squad was being destroyed by Shawn Michaels and I still couldn't see JOHN CENA!!!!!!! As a hockey jersey it's not too bad, reminds me of the Raiders. I would like to see the numbers outlined in white or even the logo. Not much, but just a little. Then...I would continue the hem bottom all the way around. Not because it would make a huge difference on ice, but just aesthetically.

West Coast Eagles (AFL) Concept - Duncan L.
Duncan continues this Rugby hockey team tradition. The jerseys are very unique. I actually don't mind that hem/side paneling. My problem is when it comes to the sleeve design. Something about it just abruptly ending doesn't look too pleasing to me. I think you matched it up well with the hem but to me it's just one of those things that doesn't work out in the long run. Maybe just keeping it traditional and keeping it straight, or the full sleeve could work just fine. The alternate is a bit bare. I would make the white outlines bolder on the striping.

New York Islanders Concept - Lucas D.
Lucas tries to make the Islanders new alternate better to fit the style of their primary jerseys. The only problem I had with the alternate (big problem) is the orange on the stick. I think the orange should be all gone. So this actually kind of fixes that but also not. I would just leave it black and white. The socks are also a bit weird with the little hoop you having going over it, just make it match the jersey. To me, this is entering Flyers territory. That's why the orange doesn't float with me well. That's just me though.

Quebec Nordiques Concept - Taylor R.
When Quebec makes it's return, if they can keep the logos from the past this is something I would be a fan of. I know a lot of people dislike the phantom yoke but when done right (I think so here) I think it looks very sharp and a design they would keep for awhile. Keeps true to the past as well without going overboard. The only issue to me is the blue. I'm all for powder blue in some scenarios but a brighter more electric blue to me will look even better on this.

Chicago Cougars Concept - Vaughn R.
This concept is headed in a good direction but I think it can be executed better. I think for color balance sake the yellow jersey needs a lot more green in it. Having a hem stripe with green would be a huge help which is also why I would recommend it on the home jersey too. Also, I would have an outline around the logo on the home. The cougar looks awkward without seeing the block around it. the alternate is fine but this is where I don't think the phantom yoke looks good. It adds nothing to the design. It's almost like a stain on the jersey. I would also make the yellow thicker on the stripes to see it better from a distance.
