Sunday! Sunday! Sunday!

I found time to post some concepts. So, here it goes...

New York Rangers concepts (by Tex)These are a few logical tweaks that Tex would like to see happen with the Rangers sweaters. He gave the home a shoulder patch along with white numbers. He also put "New York" on the road sweater, a move that I like.

Phoenix Coyotes concepts (by Bryan)Bryan gave the Coyotes a new set of sweaters here. I like that he's put the shoulder patch on both shoulders. I'd personally prefer that the yokes on the home be white instead of vintage white. I don't have a personal grudge with vintage white like it seems most people do.

San Jose Sharks concepts (by Mason)Not really a set here, just a couple of ideas. I don't particularly like the teal concept. It reminds me too much of the Nashville jersey, that seems to have no direction. I really like the black jersey though.

Minnesota Wild concepts (by Ryan)The Wild have three great jerseys, the unfortunate part is that none of them match. That really knocks the set down a few points in my eyes. I tried to come up with a matching set while keeping the popular elements. I know people like the current road jersey and the matching green they used to wear but, I decided it was time to retire that and move on.

Buffalo Sabres concept (by Tex)Tex made some small changes to the Sabres' 3rd jersey. Sorry Tex but, I prefer the one they use now. I enjoy the stitched numbers and the 1970 in the old crest. Also, the 4 stripes on the arms, we haven't really seen that in the NHL before.

Montreal Canadiens concept (by Stéphane)Stéphane used two shades of red here. He's done a good job of combining classic elements with new Reebok ideas here. However, if the Canadiens were to wear this people would throw tomatoes at Stéphane, and riot. Reminiscent of the Richard riot!

Bonne job Stéphane! Ton idée est super bonne! J'aime les deux couleurs de rouges mélangés.

Merci! Pour les tomates, pas sur: c'est une idée partagée avec mes élèves et ils aent bien! C'était mon public cible alors...

Ryan, for the tomatoes, I'm not sure... I tested that with my students, and they liked the idea, considering it's a third jersey aimed at young fans that are tired of the old "we have an history to consider" - the move forward generation. If we keep the current home and away jersey, we don't mess with what is established. Before talking of tomatoes, let's see what the readers of your blog have to say. But no harm here: I'm always open to discussion. Anyway, I never saw an attempt to change something on the Habs uniform go without shout and tears... ;-)

Ryan, I sent you the wrong Sabres concept! Sorry.

Stéphane, tu pourrais me donner ton e-mail, j'ai des "third jersey" du Canadiens à te montrer.

Awesome job on the Minnesota concepts. Would buy all three!!

Is that HABS font the same as the SENS one?

I made a concept that's basically the same thing for the Wild for the home and away. Just made the white stripe between the green on the away wheat. Copier!!! Haha

Stéphane said...

Brandon: it looks similar, but the font for Habs is made up in Illustrator.

Try those Wild Jerseys but use the Minnesota wordmark from their thirds on the green and white jersey (and no off white on the white one), and use the circular logo on the red.

Then you'd have a winner winner chicken dinner combination for those three.
